Kobe Bryant Claims: “He Jalen Rose’d Me” Regarding Dahntay Jones [Video]
Kobe Bryant is out indefinitely with a severely sprained ankle and he’s not happy about how it happened. After the loss to Atlanta, Kobe told reporters Dahntay Jones “Jalen Rose’d me” and that he can’t believe he has to “wait a year to get revenge.”
Kobe was referring an incident that took place in Game 2 of the 2000 NBA finals when Rose played for the Pacers. Bryant went up for a jumper and Rose leaped to block the shot but stuck his leg out where Kobe would come down on it, which is exactly what Jones did. Rose admitted/apologized for the incident later during a podcast with Grantland’s David Jacoby.

Really……really???? Wow. I saw a defender go up and defend a shot, no intention on Jones’ part, unless I’m not seeing it. The angle of the shot is poor, so I can’t see the complete footwork on Jones, but it doesn’t look like it.
Unfortunate for Kobe, but I think it’s a knee-jerk reaction by Kobe to fault Jones for intentional there. IMO

Caribou, if you watch all the angles, it’s at best very dangerous defense that should have been called a foul and at worst an intentional move to undercut him.

Jones didn’t go straight up, he walked into his body (and under his feet). Not to mention his reputation for dirty plays already http://bleacherreport.com/articles/185836-its-official-dahntay-jones-is-a-dirty-player
