James Southerland went a perfect 6 for 6 from three point range in the quarterfinal matchup between Syracuse and Pittsburgh, setting a record for the most made three pointers without a miss in tournament history. In a physical game, Syracuse survived a late rally, and will now move on to a third game against Georgetown. The Hoyas have won the other two, including closing down their rivalry at the Carrier Dome with a win just five days ago. Expect another testy matchup tomorrow.

It’s such a different team from earlier in the year when they lost 39-38 to Tennessee. Great transformation

Otto has transformed into a monster since Whittington got suspended. He’s like a more aggressive Jeff Green now. Which is a compliment.

If Jeff Green right now could channel Otto’s aggression, the Celtics would be really dangerous

That’s true. They also beat Syracuse by 22 in their next game, though, so I’ve got some basis for optimism when they play Syracuse tomorrow.

Villanova beat Georgetown, Syracuse, and Louisville. Not a terrible loss to go down in Philly.
