Iowa State’s Bench Was Dancing As They Completed a Comeback Against Oklahoma [GIF]
All, College Basketball, GIF March 14th. 2013, 3:55pm
Iowa State beat Oklahoma, 73-66, in the Big XII tournament quarterfinals. The Cyclones erased a 12-point second half deficit, and after a three-pointer by Will Clyburn tied the game at 60, ISU’s bench erupted and one player started high-stepping. I think he would have kept going right for the cheerleaders if a teammate hadn’t stopped him.

I’m sure somewhere out there Larry Eustachy is drinking a Natty Light with a smile on his face.

Vikings signed Cassel, AAAHAHAHAHAHAHA
March 14th, 2013 at 4:07 PM
You have to be subtle to tank a season with Adrian Peterson to answer to.
/probably more subtle than this

I’m not one to defend the Vikings, but the Cassel signing isn’t that bad. I’d rather have him as a backup than Joe Webb.
March 14th, 2013 at 4:18 PM
Fuck. Backus retired. Looks like the Lions will be going LT at 5….
March 14th, 2013 at 4:18 PM
Steven Jackson to the Falcons. The NFC is gonna be wild next year.
March 14th, 2013 at 4:20 PM
I don’t see what those two sentences have to do with each other

Fuck. Backus retired. Looks like the Lions will be going LT at 5….
Seems like a good year to do it
March 14th, 2013 at 4:22 PM
Agreed, doubt he’s going in expecting to win the job and is still a hell of a lot more capable than a lot of backup QBs
March 14th, 2013 at 4:22 PM
dunno…fischer and joeckel could be gone by then. if only lewan came out…
March 14th, 2013 at 4:23 PM
Three of the Four teams to make the conference semis (49ers, Seahawks, Falcons) have improved, not to mention the Packers, Giants, Bears, Saints w/ Payton, etc.
March 14th, 2013 at 4:24 PM
Wouldn’t want Lewan. I’d be cool with drafting Fisher. If not, best DE/pass rusher available.
March 14th, 2013 at 4:25 PM
i think the dude’s a choch, and bad game against OSU aside, dude’s legit. id take him on my squad any day, college or pro.
March 14th, 2013 at 4:26 PM
He’s fine where he is, and plays a position that will always be in high demand.
March 14th, 2013 at 4:27 PM
What about Lane Johnson? It’s not that big of a reach at 5 and with the rookie wage scale he’d still be pretty cheap for a starting LT
March 14th, 2013 at 4:27 PM
Unless the Falcons sign Freeney or a pass rusher, I actually think they’ve gotten worse. I think Jackson is totally average at this point in his career. But hey, if he enables Mike Smith to call more 4th and 1 halfback dives straight up the middle, I’m all for it.
March 14th, 2013 at 4:28 PM
Seconded.
March 14th, 2013 at 4:29 PM
yea, im not arguing that, just saying that if he came out this year, the lions wouldnt have to worry about joeckel or fischer getting snatched up early.
tho id argue that he really wouldnt benefit from an extra year in ann arbor and is just passing up a year of salary for taking the same physical beating.

What the hell happened to that Packers deal for SJax? Yesterday afternoon, sites were talking like that was a done deal.
March 14th, 2013 at 4:32 PM
Agree that Lewan should sit out his 5th year.

“Those who stay…” But yeah, I’d have left in a heartbeat for guaranteed millions.

won’t have eligibility when michigan’s loaded in 2014.
think yall will be better this year than last, but still think both osu and mich are a year away.
March 14th, 2013 at 4:42 PM
Michigan certainly is considering they’re counting on a true freshman RB to be a savior. They do have a pretty friendly schedule this year. @UCONN and ND at home are the two toughest games until November.
At least OSU has an experienced stud at QB running things.
March 14th, 2013 at 4:44 PM
yea, that def helps this year while theyre transitioning new defensive players in there. that said 2014 is gonna be balls out gangbusters. cannot wait.
