Steven Jackson Close to Signing with the Green Bay Packers [UPDATE]
Steven Jackson is close to signing with the Green Bay Packers, according to Rob Demovsky of the Press Gazette. [UPDATE: Like Adam Schefter, we thought it was a done deal. It's not.]
Jackson hopes to follow in the footsteps of another former St. Louis running back, Ottis Anderson, who moved on to the New York Giants after the age of the 30 and played a role in a Super Bowl contender. This is a big move for the Packers, who have been very deficient in the running game the last two years. I have a feeling that Steven Jackson is going to like playing in an offense that will put up points and yards through the air, after playing on teams that went 44-99-1 during his time in St. Louis. Love the move given Green Bay’s situation at running back, and in the short term, I look for Jackson to have a good year in 2013.

Can Green Bay’s line block for him?

If this was in a round up I missed it.

I wanted to see him land with the Falcons. One of my all time favorite NFLers.

I credit this to Meth a couple posts ago. I hadn’t noticed this and now I can’t stop noticing.
Nice finish for the T. Tech vs West Fucking Virginia game. Quality first season in the Big 12 for the couch burners. A whole lotta of fail.

I can’t take the credit. I did notice it the instant I came back on here, but once I saw others voicing their displeasure, I just thought I’d rock the boat a little more.

They don’t bug me, but most of the links I clicked on were from 2010-11.

To finish my sarcastic prior post… I’d trade WVA and KSU back to wherever to have Mizzou back in the Big 12. There is no hate in town. This is prime hating season. Fuck. I don’t even think I’m going to bother going downtown this weekend for the revelry as there will be little. And downtown is 10 minutes from work.
I will be downtown next weekend for the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

So, you’re saying they have a chance to be in the round-up tomorrow morning?

If that’s real and the sales guy had no idea … awesome. Still funny all the same. Thanks.

I think he’s talking about the new stuff. The “Around the web” and “From our network” shit.

Well played. Cowboys Jeff Gordon link will be in the roundup next week.

Yup, that’s what I’m talking about too.

Yeah, 41 Best Manti Teo memes is timely.

I stumbled upon a meme site that the work computer doesn’t block. I’ve been sucked into many wormholes here lately. Like those African kids, shows the one smiling. At the top it says, “Brother got eaten by a lion” then at the bottom it says, “More food for me.”

And wtf is up with these ‘Telly’ videos that play sound and no video?
March 13th, 2013 at 9:25 PM
So you’re saying a competent running back= good ground game?
Without fail. There is nothing else that factors into the equation. Nothing.

My buddy texted this to me yesterday, then I saw it on Facebook, now here. This is about to go what the kids nowadays call “viral”.

I hope Fernando Rodney gets a comebacker straight to the temple next game.
March 13th, 2013 at 9:45 PM
Their o-line is built to pass block and are mediocre at best run blocking. Unless Jackson puts up career best “yards after contact” numbers, their running game will be more of the same.
March 13th, 2013 at 9:47 PM
With Dietrich-Smith at center and Sherrod back at tackle, our line will be much more run oriented. Slowly breaking from the ZBS.
March 13th, 2013 at 9:50 PM
Having had the “pleasure” of actually watching his slow ass dance around before being tackled while he was trying to break a 60 yard run, I say “HAHA” to the Packers fans who think this guy has anything left. He is slow, a bad blocker, and has more negative runs than anyone in history. No one has a lower conversion rate on short yardage than him. Ever. Never breaks a tackle, never hits the hole. Give it to him on first down? 2nd and 8. Give it to him on 3rd and short? PUNT TEAM! Maybe the biggest RedZone fraud ever. The Rams aren’t on national TV, so you guys didn’t get to see him being shitty week after week. Packers fans are going to LOVE seeing him dance around, side-to-side, afraid to hit the hole, and then get tackled for a loss.
March 13th, 2013 at 9:51 PM
it will be in the round up the next two days and monday of next week
March 13th, 2013 at 9:55 PM
Did you guys hear about that guy that disappeared in that massive sinkhole?
