What people keep forgetting is that Wallace will stretch the field, thus allowing for the intermediate routes run by Bess and Hartline, and whatever TE that MIA decides to pick up via FA or what they have on the roster (Michael Egnew didnt even catch a pass last year).

MIA has not had a deep threat, and I’m not kidding here, since Irving Fryar. That was early-mid 90′s when most of you werent even watching football.

Hartline is a solid, Welker-mold that can catch and good route running. Bess is a the lesser of the two but can benefit from Wallace taking away the safety over the top.

MIA can’t wait for some rookie (Patterson) who may or may not be a started immediately, to help them out. I know the $$$ is crazy, MIA has paid for ALOT worse in the past, but this makes the most sense.

Most everyone here on the board, roots for a team that has a deep threat. MIA has not had one for 20 years! Think about that.

At some point I’ll stop bringing this up but the Dolphins have the 12th pick and (wait for it..) with the rookie salary scale and [Stupid Name] Patterson available it’s much better value to draft him.

Michael Floyd was drafted 13th overall last year and was paid a salary of $390,000 for the season which is much cheaper than what Wallace will get next year.

Sweet. Needed a big name WR to stretch the filed for the Phins, I’m not completely sold on him being an elite WR, but its a definite upgrade over the current rip of MIA receivers .

Fans want to call him a one trick pony (he is not) but damn he has been good at that trick.

You really only need your WRs to have two tricks.

1) run
2) catch the ball

I’m not sure a WR who can “catches deep passes” is really as much an insult as praise.

Miami overpaid a somewhat, but Wallace has produced in the past.Since 2009, no WR has more 40-yard catches (27) or 40-yard TDs (16) than Mike Wallace. He's going to be a rich man.
