A Night After Getting Dunked on, Brandon Knight Got Hurt and the Pistons Lost Again
Brandon Knight was the talk of the internet Sunday night when he got dunked on by DeAndre Jordan, and pretty much all of Monday, too (until NFL trades began happening).
In his first game AD (After DeAndre), Knight twisted his ankle early in the first quarter and didn’t return. So he didn’t get a chance to redeem himself – assuming he wanted to, not that he needed to – for Sunday’s night’s happenings.
The Utah win pushes the Jazz into an 8th place tie in the West with the Lakers (33-31). LA is in Orlando tonight.

Good. Keep losing. And shutdown Drummond and Monroe for the rest of the season. Lose the rest and we might be able to get into the top 5.

Sometimes I hate the Internet.

like I said yesterday. That kid has alot of heart. Get him out of Detroit and allow him to flourish.

He sucks as a PG. Monroe, Stuckey and Knight for Cousins, Jimmer and Thomas.

random trivia learned from sports radio:
burke is first player to score 15 points or more in every b10 game
blackhawks are on SI cover for first time in 41 yrs

Talented, but unfortunately he’s not a true PG or a SG. He’s somewhere in between.

And get whom, exactly? This draft is pretty weak isn’t it?

Cavs shutting down Fragile Iriving. We’re fighting for that #1 pick as well.

Right. He needs to be the classic Jason Terry type 3rd guard.
March 12th, 2013 at 11:42 AM
A guy like Otto Porter would be a great fit.
March 12th, 2013 at 11:43 AM
Seriously? Literally the NEXT play after the DeAndre dunk, he went right to the rack, got fouled, and made both FTs.
March 12th, 2013 at 11:43 AM
Oladipo would also be good.

is that official scripty? i hope so.

What kind of offense do the Pistons run? If you’re asking a combo guard to play in a traditional 1-2 set, then there are several issues at play.
March 12th, 2013 at 11:45 AM
Oladipo.
March 12th, 2013 at 11:45 AM
The offense should be feed Candyman.
March 12th, 2013 at 11:46 AM
He’s down for 3-4 weeks. At most he plays 8 games. Not sure if they bring him back to play 4 games.

Cavs and Pistons, both teams need either Porter or Olidapo. Hopefully the Pistons lose out.

porter not olidapo

scalia ruining the lazy narrative with facts!

Typical Lawrence Frank boring offense. The problem is Knight was projected to be a PG and it’s apparent he’s not. Slide him to SG and he’ll go 7 for 11 one night and 3 for 15 the next.

yeah they should go princeton style and you can make it work with 2 combo guards. he still a decent young player though. not the right match for him.

I agree but if porter gone I’d take Olidapo.
March 12th, 2013 at 11:57 AM
Can the kid play? If he can play, you live with that while he’s developing. Is he a knucklehead? Does he work hard? Those type of players get it figured out by the third year.

the cavs been a 3 in the worst way.
March 12th, 2013 at 12:01 PM
He’s just not a PG and doesn’t really have the size to be a 2 guard. He’s a small 6-3. Again, make him a Jason Terry type that plays 20-30 minutes off the bench depending on how hot he is.
March 12th, 2013 at 12:08 PM
Honestly wouldn’t mind drafting Marcus Smart either to be Detroit’s Harden and let Knight play Jeremy Lin’s role.
March 12th, 2013 at 12:13 PM
Cannot wait to land Olidipo in Detroit. I’ve watched him play a ton this year, and I am always impressed. But that’s just the eye test. How does he do against the very best? 8 games vs ranked foes: shot 59.8% 17.6 points, 6.9 rebs, 1.6 asts, 2.4 steals 1 block per game. IU was 7-1 in those games
Please draft him
March 12th, 2013 at 12:18 PM
Jason Terry was the starting point on a team that went to the Finals.
March 12th, 2013 at 12:19 PM
Knight is getting better, it is his second year, 1st with a training camp, and he is onyl 20.
March 12th, 2013 at 12:22 PM
Seth Jones, to try to convince Mike Ilitch to buy the team.

The Lawrence Frank/Avery Johnson Awful Basketball offense. What’s a fast break?
