Barry Switzer Attended Oklahoma Football Practice Wearing a Stunning Fur Jacket
Barry Switzer was the head coach of the Oklahoma Sooners from 1973 to 1988 and won a Super Bowl with the Dallas Cowboys. Switzer appears to have an affinity for fur.
As Oklahoma assistant athletics director Pete Moris points out, it is “always great to see Coach Switzer at @OU_Football practice.” For this special visit, Switzer wore a gorgeous fur jacket because he’s Barry effing Switzer and you’re not. Only a true Bootlegger’s Boy could have this kind of swag at 75-years old.

Looking good, Barry.

It’d be stranger actually if he showed up wearing a simple windbreaker instead.

No way he’s not in the bag in that picture, right?

How much was his liquor bill at the Super Bowl in Tempe?

The stories about him just getting tanked every night during that Super Bowl week since he knew he was never getting there again were legendary…thankfully Neil O’Donnell’s incompetence bailed him out in that one

He probably still carries around cash and coke to hand out to recruits. He just can’t help himself!!

I seem to recall a story about him getting drunk with the defensive line coach whose wife Barry was also sleeping with at the time.

B12 is going to be so wide open next year. Should be the most fun league to watch from that standpoint. OU, Texas, OKST and TCU should be the favorites, but I’m interested in KST’s JUCO QB as well as seeing what the Baylor RB with the funky name does for a full season.

Now, let’s not go all hyperbole here.
The Cowboys did indeed win a Super Bowl while Barry was hanging out on the sidelines. I would not phrase that as “Barry Switzer won a Super Bowl.”

You should hear the Tex Tech ppl around here. They think Kliff guarantees them 10 wins.

Also, wonder how manages to stash an AK-47 under that coat.

Also, very disappointed that no post today at TBL has anyone discussing what a horrible stupid cunt Andrea is on The Walking Dead.

I bet. I had no idea he was as revered as he was. I mean, he had one of the best 5 OLs in the nation last year and a freak at QB. I would think 8-4 would be a good year for TT in 2013.
March 11th, 2013 at 12:21 PM
It’s just a Tech thing. They love their QB’s and only care about points and stats. 8 wins would be a great year and would likely mean they avoid losing that one game TT always, always loses that they have no business losing.

They get OU and Texas on the road? That sucks. Have to travel to West Va, too.

Those Cowboys teams in the early to mid 90s were so loaded that I think I could have won the Super Bowl that year using only the Madden ’94 playbook.

ms, you;d have gone with the sansabelts and black riddells? porkpie hat?

The 2nd Cowboys team that won the Super Bowl with Jimmy, that was the best NFL team I’ve seen in my life. Loaded.

And a short sleeve white button up shirt with a thin black tie. I’d be styling.

I hope I get to a point in life where I can randomly show up wherever I want in a ginormous, still-twitching fur coat
