Jerron Wilbut, a Seton Hall Basketball Recruit, Arrested on Robbery Charge
Jerron Wilbut, a 19-year old Seton Hall recruit , was arrested Thursday afternoon in Illinois in connection with a robbery. The 6′ 2″ shooting guard was arrested with Kelechukwu Akuba, 20 and Leverenzel Booth, 18. From the Pioneer Local:
The three are accused of arranging to meet with an acquaintance, a male juvenile. The victim entered the car with the three men at about 4 p.m., according to police. The three allegedly displayed what was believed to be a handgun, robbed the boy of cash and property and released him.
Wilbut was arrested in Clarendon Hills, Illinois, which is about 2 hours from St. John’s Northwestern Military Academy in Delafield, Wisconsin where is his spending a year between high school and college.
