Belmont Beat Murray State in Overtime on This Jumper with :00.7 left
Kerron Johnson sent the thrilling Belmont-Murray State OVC Championship to overtime with a jumper in the lane, then won the game in the extra session on this clutch shot with :00.7 left.
The Bruins are going to the NCAA Tournament for the third year in a row. Belmont was a sexy pick to pull a first-round upset the last two years, but lost by double figures to Wisconsin in 2011 and Georgetown in 2012.
For Murray State, the loss was devastating, as the Racers led late in regulation but couldn’t close out the Bruins. Last year, Murray State pounded Colorado State in the first round of the NCAA tournament before throwing a huge scare into Marquette in the second round. Unless you care about the NIT, the sterling college career of Murray State star Isaiah Canaan is over.

I suppose that’s the argument for “dribble out the last 20 seconds and then throw up a shot with 2 seconds left”

Sticking to the agenda of ignoring the UNC/Duke game. I completely support this.
