Richard Sherman to Skip Bayless: “I’m better at life than you”
Richard Sherman appeared on ESPN’s First Take with Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith and as expected, it devolved into a shouting match. Sherman, who has been trash talking with Darrell Revis on twitter recently, had some built-up animosity towards Skip after some comments made by the controversial, clownish ESPN personality previously made. Sherman told Bayless “I am better at life than you” and “you’ve never accomplished anything.” Richard Sherman: Hero.

Both true points… but Richard Sherman is becoming quite the annoying troll himself.

All three of those guys are assholes.

Can Sherman go away all ready? You gotta try really hard to stand out as a asshole when you have Bayless and SASmith beside you

Sherman is great. He’s the epitome of guy you would love on your team but hate playing against. (KG syndrome)

This was billed as Richard Sherman stitching a clown suit on Bayless, and I’m just not really seeing it. Comes across as super aggressive when I don’t necessarily think he had to be.
But, I do away the inevitable appearance of Anthony “Lima Time” Lima to come on here and defend Bayless. That should be a treat.

Sherman is the man.

Sherman tries too hard.

I see you have read the TBL writers handbook mr. Shamburger

Listening to Sherman is a lot better than hearing Carl Crawford blame the Boston media for being shitty.

I’d actually say Skip Bayless has accomplished quite a bit in life. And Richard Sherman is a hell of a corner. Can’t we all just be honest with each other?

What an asshole. But what is worse is Bayless saying “That’s fair”. What is that? If I was Bayless I would of said lets revisit that in 15+ yrs when you are prob broke you inarticulate fuck.

Bayless’ career should have ended after he defamed Troy Aikman in that book.

Coach rah rah needs to reel his guy in

Sherman is a Stanford grad? What did he major in? English Lit???
March 7th, 2013 at 8:59 PM
Bayless did a good job of brushing the kid off with the “that’s fair” line. Sherman kept thinking he was hitting him with some kill shots, and Bayless kept minimizing him. When someone goes to the I’m better at life than you route, that reeks of desperation. Advantage: Bayless
March 7th, 2013 at 9:04 PM
Do you really think so? Yes, the kid embarrassed himself by why even say “that’s fair” if you’re Bayless? It’s not “fair”, it’s stupid. Bayless should have just laughed him off.
March 7th, 2013 at 9:04 PM
I do like the “let’s not get personal” part by Skip, as Skip would never stoop so low than to bring up something personal with an athlete he covers.
March 7th, 2013 at 9:15 PM
Baylees “won” in a “debate” for the first time in his life.
March 7th, 2013 at 9:17 PM
What Bayless did was worse than laugh him off, he didn’t even acknowledge him. Bayless did what Revis should have.
March 7th, 2013 at 9:24 PM
How many of you guys think Skip Bayless opinions on sports are better than yours? The guy is part idiot/part troll. I can’t believe how much importance people give him. I just ignore him, I would say 90% of the guys on here and 60% of the people on twitter have better opinions on sports than him (maybe that is partly because he is not trying to be knowledgeable but conversational but still)
March 7th, 2013 at 9:31 PM
Nobody with any class listens to Skip Bayless.
He still came across as Ghandi compared to that pre birth abortion Sherman.
March 7th, 2013 at 9:37 PM
I don’t follow. If Revis responded by saying “that is fair” to Sherman’s stupid comments he would have been disingenuous. Revis shouldn’t have responded at all. I guess your point is that Bayless did about as much as he could in his position. Which is fair. I just think he could have done more.

For unemployed welfare collecting bums, deciding between this garbage or the Steve Wilkos show is the biggest decision of the day.
March 7th, 2013 at 9:45 PM
Holy shit, people are actually analyzing this?
March 7th, 2013 at 9:46 PM
God damn it, the more I hang around here the more I agree with Darrell:
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?!?!?!?!?!
March 7th, 2013 at 10:12 PM
I think you’re getting too caught up in Bayless saying that’s fair. Bayless knows what he has accomplished in his career, which is why he didn’t feel the need to list off his accomplishments or even look affected by what Sherman said. At that point, Bayless was in complete control.
