Tie between Nolan Ryan taking 16 shots to Robin Ventura’s dome and Dave Stewart giving Pat Corrales the chop-socky.

Somebody had to have said something racial in that one. That was serious business.

What cracked me up was how the Padres had what, three or four different times trying to hit Pascual Perez in retaliation for an earlier beanball. But, in every AB Perez kept jumping out of the way, like a cat on a hot tin roof.

I think the White Sox-Tigers brawl from 2000 still holds the record for most suspensions, the league had to stagger them just so that the clubs didn’t have to gut minor leagur rosters to fill 25 slots…go Sox!

I’ve always been partial to Armando Benitez going up against almost the entire Yankees team.

I think the fines and suspensions have something to do with that whole punching deal.

Best/funniest fight I saw happened when a guy on our team decided to fight the right fielder. Right fielder slowly jogging out to his position in between innings, dude comes charging out of the first base dugout after him.

That is pretty much how it is in every sport excluding hockey.

there have been exceptions, with guys sprinting to the pitcher, but even then it’s to tackle. as i’ve said many times….baseball fighting should be like hockey fighting. batter and pitcher (or whoever) and if anyone intervenes, they are suspended. when guys go to ground, fight over
