Now we’re finally starting to make a big deal out of this. Good.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:20 AM
I’m a fan, but I have a feeling she is going to get scorched here in the comments.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:20 AM
Unpaid internships are the absolute worst…
says the site that is looking for unpaid interns
March 6th, 2013 at 8:20 AM
North America is too busy mourning the death of Paul Bearer to notice this.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:21 AM
Wow, Ballz with the first comment of the AM Roundup… is this a first?
March 6th, 2013 at 8:21 AM
Sounds like a bargin.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:22 AM
Wow.
Tried to read the article. Sounded like High School Confidential. Stopped reading.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:23 AM
not that being pantsless wouldn’t cover the stereotype well enough she also was driving a 2001 Grand Am, drove into a trailer house and had only a sweatshirt. good work sister.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:25 AM
Yep. Up is down, left is right, and Joe Flacco is the highest paid football player in history.
/Also, I’m on the east coast for work.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:25 AM
Umm…kind of a difference between giving a college journalism student some exposure to publish something as often as they want and working someone at a desk job for a year without paying them.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:25 AM
I’m a fan, but I have a feeling she is going to get scorched here in the comments.
lollipop
March 6th, 2013 at 8:29 AM
The scale is different, bue the idea is the same.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:29 AM
/Also, I’m on the east coast for work.
where about? getting hit w/ snow?
March 6th, 2013 at 8:29 AM
Glad to see this glad is not relevant anymore, unless of course, we’re poking fun at him.
Also see on the WWTDD website, Aida Yespica. Giddy-up. She hated Hugo Chavez as well.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:29 AM
North America is too busy mourning the death of Paul Bearer to notice this.
I never understood why Percival Pringle the Third put on ghoul makeup. But WWF/WWE was always very hammy.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:31 AM
North America is too busy mourning the death of Paul Bearer to notice this.
One of the greatest managers of all time. He probably should get inducted into the Hall of Fame this year and I’m sure the Undertaker will pay tribute to him at Wrestlemania once he extends his streak to 21-0.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:31 AM
F-ing east coast storm is again playing havoc with my attempts to get a round in on a weekend. This will be three weeks in a row.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:32 AM
hello ms. kendrick.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:33 AM
I’m a big fan
March 6th, 2013 at 8:34 AM
F-ing east coast storm is again playing havoc with my attempts to get a round in on a weekend. This will be three weeks in a row.
it’s hard to believe we’re up to Wall-E already. Long winter.
/I assume this storm is named Wall-E
March 6th, 2013 at 8:34 AM
Even though it said Oprah,. I still had to look
March 6th, 2013 at 8:36 AM
Saturn. I’ts like it’s Groundhog Day.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:37 AM
It’s not I’ts.
Never did that before.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:37 AM
Anna fucking kendrick? Wait… I get it now…its a cruel prank or or or an spca ad…yeah that has to be it
March 6th, 2013 at 8:38 AM
dog breeding and the holocaust are the same thing.
/the scale’s different, but the idea’s the same!
//yall really gotta let the whole intern thing go
March 6th, 2013 at 8:39 AM
No, not at all. If you really believe that, you have absolutely no fucking idea what media is like. Try people with graduate degrees working 9-5 at a magazine for a year unpaid doing menial tasks with the vague idea that a job might open up (it won’t) or that they might get a byline on the website.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:40 AM
Even though it said Oprah,. I still had to look
I took Sophie’s Choice, and clicked on the Zoltan Mesko gay bikini pics. And I probably got the better deal.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:41 AM
I’d take Anna Kendrick over Jennifer Lawrence any day of the week.
Anyone follow Kendrick on Twitter? She’s hilarious. And rather gutter minded.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:42 AM
Spencer: What’s up with that DT (or DL) transferring? The cat with the stupid name.
As I said…the scale is not the same, but the concept is. You want free labor and in turn offer the chance to make it big and get your name out. Same goes for the business dude. It just so happens he has to work longer hours.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:42 AM
Try people with graduate degrees working 9-5 at a magazine for a year unpaid doing menial tasks with the vague idea that a job might open up (it won’t) or that they might get a byline on the website.
they should tell their supervisors that they have ambition, and show them some of their articles about Michigan or soccer.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:44 AM
As I said earlier I’m a fan, but this is going too far.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:44 AM
I do follow and agree.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:45 AM
More like Anna Mendrick. Y’all Olivia Munn haters can eat a big fat Tim Ryan.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:45 AM
sevon pittman? he saw the writing on the wall…noah spence and adolphus washington were in the rotation heavy as true frosh while pittman didnt see the field.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:47 AM
also, it makes me kinda smile that urban ‘stole’ pittman from michigan state and then he’s granted his release a year later. sparty no!
March 6th, 2013 at 8:49 AM
That sucks for them. I read where he was looking at L’ville. He was highly rated coming out of HS (top 100 kid). Would be a good get for Strong I’d imagine.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:50 AM
Agree with Spencer. Piss on all the intern outrage. Once again…unless the interns have been duped or baited and switched they chose to accept the terms.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:50 AM
If I caught myself writing that sentence in my 20′s about my career, I’d go back in time to when I was 18 and punch myself in the face for selecting such a shitty major when I started college.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:51 AM
dude, just read that same thing. that’d be a helluva spot for him to land and a pretty good talent for charlie strong.
think strong’s gonna be a louisville much longer?
March 6th, 2013 at 8:54 AM
No, not at all. If you really believe that, you have absolutely no fucking idea what media is like. Try people with graduate degrees working 9-5 at a magazine for a year unpaid doing menial tasks with the vague idea that a job might open up (it won’t) or that they might get a byline on the website.
I actually think this is worse. you guys have metrics where you can see exactly how many times people are clicking into your intern’s post. you get paid directly on that. a kid in the office is hoping to make a good impression, and is staffed on a project or something, but it is a much tougher thing to directly translate into dollars.
but, thanks for giving me the opportunity for the byline, Mother Teresa. you’re a true humanitarian.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:54 AM
Anna Kendrick
Reminds me that I saw End Of Watch over the weekend. Great flick, did not expect it to be that good.
/Big fan of Anna, but she cannot compete with Jennifer Lawrence
March 6th, 2013 at 8:54 AM
Next time the English media realizes that intent doesn’t matter when it comes to booking someone will be the first time they realize that intent doesn’t matter when it comes to booking someone.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:55 AM
Everyone who knows him says he’s incredibly loyal, and he feels indebted to L’ville and Jurich because they gave him his break. L;ville has the cash to pay him, and they’re about to be in the ACC, so my initial thought is that yes, he’ll be there a while. However, I honestly think Mark Richt is going to retire within 5 years from now, and if Kirby isn’t pulled away from Saban, I think McGarrity (former UF associate AD) would look at Strong.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:56 AM
Sir spicious…
THE INTERN WAS NOT FORCED TO TAKE THE INTERNSHIP
Not shouting just saying
March 6th, 2013 at 8:56 AM
Great movie. I wasn’t expecting to like it since I am already a big of Southland but they did really well pretty much doing Southland the movie.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:57 AM
I wouldn’t take Kendrick over J-Law, but I’d take her. I bet she’s crazy in the sack. I follow her on Twitter and she’s a riot.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:57 AM
I didn’t expect much either but it was well done.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:58 AM
THE INTERN WAS NOT FORCED TO TAKE THE INTERNSHIP
in either case. but Duffy trying to make out like he’s giving someone this fantastic opportunity while the other guy is subject ot 7 years of indentured servitude is a logical leap that I can’t make.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:59 AM
well, if charlie strong’s gonna stay at louisville, the least they can do is make their stadium look like a papa johns box and put a garlic butter jacuzzi in the corner of the field with some busty coeds to film for commercial lead-in’s.
March 6th, 2013 at 8:59 AM
not a chance. I was pretty surprised he is still there now.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:03 AM
RIP Paul Bearer. He scared the crap out of me as a kid.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:03 AM
Im not arguing whether its ok to offer unpaid internships only that companies that do offer them are not evil….kids must be signing up for them or they wouldnt be unpaid
March 6th, 2013 at 9:03 AM
Ha I saw that yesterday and was afraid to say anything. His wife’s botched face surgeries must be a constant battle for him not to mock.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:04 AM
Only 3 jobs he’s leaving for: Florida, Notre Dame, or South Carolina.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:05 AM
Anna Kendrick
yes
March 6th, 2013 at 9:05 AM
Sounds like space constraints are a big problem, which is a bummer. Nobody actually plays SimCity legitimately, they just want to put in the “unlimited funding” code and build a ginormous metropolis, then destroy it with natural disasters. Just like how nobody plays GTA for the missions.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:07 AM
Rory on the Golf Channel getting it put to him….Live press conference
March 6th, 2013 at 9:07 AM
I find nothing more comfortable than my birks and a pair of socks. Fuck ya’ll.
/tries not to go in public like that though
//its only Home Depot Honey
March 6th, 2013 at 9:08 AM
Cannot believe the kendrick love. I’m only talking looks here. An ugly waif
To each his own fo sho
March 6th, 2013 at 9:08 AM
Not buying that there are only 3. Those might be likely jobs that would go after him, but there are more than just three jobs. If he wins big at L’ville and say, Texas or LSU goes after him, I could see him taking those jobs for sure. I do agree that UF would be his No. 1 job.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:09 AM
I play for the Coffee.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:09 AM
so underrated…TNT saving it was the best thing that could have happened to the show
March 6th, 2013 at 9:10 AM
Taylor Swift’s song about Amy and Tina is going to be epic, you guys.
This chick must be having fun with how bad she can make herself look.
And Justified was once again so very awesome. I still think Tim is up to no good.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:11 AM
Ha I saw that yesterday and was afraid to say anything. His wife’s botched face surgeries must be a constant battle for him not to mock
And I read somewhere that his wife is only 34. Why the heck do you need plastic surgery on your face so young?
March 6th, 2013 at 9:12 AM
Agreed. Cutting down the characters certainly helped the main ones. Looking good this year Lydia.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:12 AM
this is kind of where I sit as well. I have nothing to prove it either way, other than nearly every single other football coach out there, and maybe he is different like everyone says, but past history generally proves otherwise.
but I guess as it sits (not sure of Spurriers time line) the S. Carolina job could open up fairly quick, so it may end up working out that way.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:12 AM
Girl-next-door-hot in my opinion. I’m a big fan. She also seems to play cool characters, so that helps.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:13 AM
He started making trouble in Boyd’s neigborhood.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:13 AM
i play for the whores. which coincidentally is my life motto as well
March 6th, 2013 at 9:14 AM
I don’t disagree to an extent…but the re-worked contract includes provisions involving those 3 teams (and those 3 teams only), I know this for a 100% fact.
I think there is a significant chance that he replaces the HBC upon retirement, but I also can see Muschamp being gone from UF before that happens.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:14 AM
the key is to work with your college. I did a summer internship (unpaid) and got 1/2 year of college out of it, granted – it involved constant write-ups, analysis, long papers etc but that cut half a year of school off for me. Also, the business started finding small events for me to do, with small cash payments and free meals. I also got housing.
if you have graduated and then start doing the unpaid intern work, well, that wasnt very good career planning. a lot of this is on the intern. if you sign up for 40 hours a week of collating, you’re a fucking idiot.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:15 AM
I think Spurrier and Richt could be gone around the same time. I can’t imagine Spurrier is coaching 5 years from now. Would be fun to see two jobs in the East open up due to retirement though. SoCar isn’t on UGAs level as a job, but Spurrier has made it so much better than it was.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:15 AM
Not ugly by any stretch of the imagination, I just have no fucking clue who this person is.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:16 AM
It doesn’t matter what “media” is lke. There’s no “media” exception regarding paying interns. If the intern is creating an advantage to the employer (in the media’s case content), the intern is entitled to pay.
/Looks forward to the interns suing USA Today
//Not the Florida State chick, tho. She did nothing.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:16 AM
Honestly that is exactly why I play.
As for Justified…fantastic yet again.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:16 AM
YUP
March 6th, 2013 at 9:17 AM
He started making trouble in Boyd’s neigborhood.
He let Boyd take Colt away way too easily. Something is going on there.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:18 AM
Well that’s a bold statement. Lil’ Trey is gonna come in from nowhere to tell you how awesome Muschamp is in an hour or so. I am very curious to see UF this year. I have a lot of faith in WM always having a great defense, but they lose a ton from last year as well as a good bit of production from a laughably-bad offense. They also play UGA, SoCar, LSU and Free Shoe. I could see them going 1-3 in that set.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:19 AM
You guys won me over on the Internship thing. Besides providing all of the benefits of an “internship” with none of the menial tasks or the time commitment. We’re basically a slave labor camp.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:20 AM
March 6th, 2013 at 9:20 AM
I think we are just watching Tim become more like Raylan but we are just not quite there yet because Raylan would have spouted off enough digs at Colt until he raised his piece. Then he would have plugged him three times. Also Raylan quick drawing(keeping his gun holstered) certainly helps criminals think they can raise up fast enough drop him.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:21 AM
Agreed.
I don’t know why but I wish they have a season where Boyd and Raylan are forced to work together. And I mean, going into the woods and shooting people together type of work together. When the two of them are on the screen together it’s fantastic.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:21 AM
Not legally there isn’t. At all.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:22 AM
any details?
March 6th, 2013 at 9:22 AM
Do I need to make the font on the DOL restrictions bigger so you can read it up there on your high horse?
March 6th, 2013 at 9:23 AM
Eat a dick Tom Crean.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:23 AM
What they were able to achieve with the finale in Vice City made it worth playing the missions. Each game after that tho, agreed. Hoping they’re able to change things around with 5.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:24 AM
We’re basically a slave labor camp.
Reading Intern Bill was like being in a slave labor camp.
/doesn’t have a dog in this fight. I did a 16 week internship to finish my degree in college.
I think we are just watching Tim become more like Raylan but we are just not quite there yet because Raylan would have spouted off enough digs at Colt until he raised his piece.
I’ve seen this opinion of Tim becoming Raylan. I’m not sold on it, but I see where this is coming from. You notice how Tim has grown his hair in the same fashion as Raylan’s? A little shorter, but he’s going for it. Both of their hairstyles are much longer this season.
Speaking of hair, I’m disappointed in Boyd’s hair this season.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:25 AM
Kissing Nike’s ass, blaming himself. Shocking, I know.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:25 AM
I’m not trying to sway you either way. I’m just pointing out the hypocrisy of ripping unpaid internships when the very site that pays you hires unpaid interns. As Vez said, unpaid interns take the work knowing it’s unpaid.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:25 AM
Well, I didn’t necessarily mean being fired. I could easily see him being lured by the NFL at some point. And I also think that Texas, despite what went down, still won’t be out of play.
And, yea, he could be headed for a slew of 8-4/9-3 type seasons…which don’t totally fly in Gainesville.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:25 AM
I will say this is a better point than anything involving chicken fucking
March 6th, 2013 at 9:25 AM
All of this.
For some reason, this just absolutely cracked me up the other day.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:26 AM
The Dept. of Labor restrictions cover freelance writing?
March 6th, 2013 at 9:26 AM
Mole..no one is arguing the legalities just the morality im pretty sure
March 6th, 2013 at 9:27 AM
Being a college athlete is an infinite amount greater than being an unpaid intern, probably even if you’re an unpaid intern that holds the paint for the SI body painters.
/throws firebomb into flames
March 6th, 2013 at 9:27 AM
But certainly less fun
March 6th, 2013 at 9:28 AM
So what kind of money can Welker expect to get as a FA? Is he worth a crap without Brady throwing to him, or is he another David Givens/Deion Branch?
March 6th, 2013 at 9:29 AM
I miss Dickie. Glorious hair.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:30 AM
I think he’s one good OC hire away from being 10-11 wins on the reg though. I think he’s so good on defense and has so much defensive talent in his backyard that he’ll never have to worry about that side as long as he’s there.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:31 AM
So they’re scabs? I can see it.
health
media
communications
law
anything business related
So I guess you would’ve switched to philosophy?
March 6th, 2013 at 9:31 AM
He’s falling in love with Raylan. Just wait till Tim makes a pass at Raylan and he gets shot dead.
/good episode last night
March 6th, 2013 at 9:32 AM
I’m just pointing out the hypocrisy of ripping unpaid internships when the very site that pays you hires unpaid interns.
I’m almost 100% certain Duffy linked to that to fuck with you guys.
I miss Dickie. Glorious hair.
Dickie >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Constable Bob. As far as side characters go.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:32 AM
USA TODAY Sports Digital Properties is a for profit, you’re labeling them as interns, you’re gaining a material benefit from them without paying them, and it’s productive work they’re doing, that’s not allowed. Publishing is actually the biggest violator of this, if Jason had started off saying we’re looking for some freelancers to work for free and the exposure that’s totally different but he did not, he labeled it as “unpaid interns.” Stupidly.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:33 AM
ill give him this…he owns up to it and moves on. not sure this is “resiliency” more than simply not giving a fuck what people think, but it’s a good trait to have in golf.
and god damn does he have a good swing…feel that must always be mentioned.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:34 AM
Of course. Also I like that Canada has less protections of its unpaid workforce than we do based on that article, that’s pretty damn surprising.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:34 AM
I think 5/$40M sounds about right for him. I think he’s a very good slot receiver. He is magnified by Brady, no doubt. He’s not going to make a mediocre QB look good; he’ll make a good QB look very good. I hope the Pats re-sign him, but I don’t blame him one bit for testing the waters.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:35 AM
Could definitely be the case.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:35 AM
Though again these restrictions are almost never ever ever enforced because the people who are taking the internships are terrified of ruining their careers by filing labor complaints. There will always be someone who is in a position that they’re able to work for free.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:36 AM
That Thayer thing on The Atlantic was sad, at this point I’m more shocked to find out that there are writers who actually do get paid than the reverse. But somehow Bleacher Report are the only assholes.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:38 AM
Great headline, or greatest headline?
March 6th, 2013 at 9:38 AM
This is why I liked Red Dead Redemption better than GTA 4
March 6th, 2013 at 9:39 AM
I hate them not for their shitty writers nor for their penchant for unpaid labor. It’s all about those god damn slide shows. I fucking hate those things.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:39 AM
Love this comment
I didn’t even know Vez commented on gawker articles.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:39 AM
It’ll be interesting to see PGA’s reaction to his WD. He’s now putting off getting his wisdom teeth out until after the US Open. This puts numerous tourney in danger of another walk-off if his toothache *cough* +7 thro 8 *cough* returns.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:39 AM
Great headline, or greatest headline?
I didn’t immediately say this on twitter yesterday, but I immediately thought it. If you’re going to title something “rapefruit,” the picture should be of an overripe canteloupe.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:40 AM
When people mention entitlements I don’t consider people who paid into social security their entire working lives as much as industries who think they’re owed free labour.
Still
1. It’s illegal
2. Rich cunts taking these jobs (who else can afford it?)
3. Hurts meritocracy
4. Contributes to unemployment (16.5% 18-25)
5. Takes away employment opportunities for others
6. Assumed as a right of passage
7. People would rather work for free than sit on the couch all day
It’s a false choice, work for free or have an even less chance of employment. Duffy talks about exposure, well who gives a fuck about exposure if the motherfucking Atlantic and Huff Post don’t pay in the same field?
March 6th, 2013 at 9:40 AM
That sounds about right. He’d be a waste in Tampa or Cincy, but that could be a major signing for Indy or Denver.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:40 AM
Speaking of hair, I’m disappointed in Boyd’s hair this season.
I miss Dickie. Glorious hair.
In the weekly EW interview with Yost, he mentioned an old fan fav character being in next week’s episode.
/wouldn’t mind it being Dickie
March 6th, 2013 at 9:41 AM
Vice City was my favorite one, but I’ll admit I liked them all. I used to just crank the sound and drive around in Vice City to listen to the killer 80s soundtrack. I also used to love mashing the drive button and seeing how long I could go before the car was totaled without touching the brakes. Weed may have been involved in this experiment.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:42 AM
Denver needs to get in on those sweepstakes. Great way to help yourself and hurt a key opponent.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:42 AM
I don’t even remember the finale of Vice City, all I remember is being furious that I had to do the stupid property ownership missions to unlock it in the first place. The missions on GTA IV were pretty awful but I thought San Andreas, outside of the final mission, were great. The Ocean’s Eleven parody with the casino was fantastic.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:43 AM
Limehouse.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:43 AM
Was the Drew Thompson reveal planned to be surprising or were they figuring that people had figured it out by now?
Also once Boyd dispatches with Colt and Cousin Johnny isn’t he basically out of manpower or do they have muscle on the payroll we don’t see?
March 6th, 2013 at 9:43 AM
peyton/welker would be scary for like a year, maybe two…esp with that hoss on the outside demaryius thomas.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:44 AM
yost said they’d reveal in episode 9 and the rest of the season would be about figuring out where the various cards fall.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:44 AM
ghost of mags!
March 6th, 2013 at 9:45 AM
Yup. Is that even feasible? What’s Denver’s cap situation?
March 6th, 2013 at 9:45 AM
In the weekly EW interview with Yost, he mentioned an old fan fav character being in next week’s episode.
/wouldn’t mind it being Dickie
It has got to be him, right? Remember at the Emmys where he had the same crazy haircut and it was assumed he was filming for Justified and then later it was mentioned there would be no Bennett’s this season? Misdirection. Give me some Dickie.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:45 AM
That Stevie Wonder A Capella was cool.
I also agree with the reviews here for End of Watch. It was well done.
I loved my internship…although I got paid, and I got bonuses.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:46 AM
wtf? kevin costner is going to play the browns GM in a fucking movie?
March 6th, 2013 at 9:46 AM
lol…first comment in the link from 131.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:46 AM
Agree. That would be a scary tandem for sure. The inevitable playoff collapse would be epic.

March 6th, 2013 at 9:47 AM
Douchebags!
March 6th, 2013 at 9:47 AM
I’m pretty sure they figured people had it by then. If they wanted it to be surprising then Shelby would have just been a red herring and they would have randomly pulled someone to be Drew in the finale. I am so happy its out in the open now. They probably could have revealed it a couple weeks ago though.
But I did find the suspense picked up once it was known Shelby was Drew. It should make these last 4 episodes awesome.

Limehouse.
Oooh. I did love me some Limehouse.
Also once Boyd dispatches with Colt and Cousin Johnny isn’t he basically out of manpower or do they have muscle on the payroll we don’t see?
Boyd has lost manpower about 20 times over the course of the show. If someone (Dirt?) wanted to nitpick, it would be how Boyd falls on his ass and recovers so quickly over and over again.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:48 AM
And we’ve found the dumbest SBN writer.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:48 AM
I sent in two links for the round up, than sent the intern link as a joke making fun of TBL. Funny to see it this morning, think Duffy is just holding the company line.
I have zero writing credits or “bylines” and was paid for a submission online. It’s idiotically circular, should be obvious never to work in the field you want to get paid in for free not matter what lies you are told.
Stop sucking dick for free 9-5 and working part time as a barista. Slappers.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:48 AM
“crazy” is a lot of manpower on it’s own.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:49 AM
fuck that…dumbest SBN writer will ALWAYS be andrew sharp. that dude is HORRIBLE. go re-read his thing on the UVA lacrosse thing from a few years ago. one of the worst pieces of shit ive ever read.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:50 AM
Did he say the UVA brah killed the girl because the national buzz surrounding the Cleveland Browns was so deafening he went temporarily insane?
March 6th, 2013 at 9:51 AM
How does soused have time to work between all the drinking, the rage, the socioeconomic research and vitriol spewing?
March 6th, 2013 at 9:51 AM
i lol at haslam’s “buzz” that the browns writers alwayhs throw out there…like a hard knocks ripoff about the support staff is raising the browns profile. lol.
tho, he’s already proven to be MILES better than lerner’s fuckwit son.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:51 AM
Free Dewey Crowe
Amen.
“crazy” is a lot of manpower on it’s own.
Feel like the character would be ruined/not as much fun, if Boyd had a larger/competent/reliable crew.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:52 AM
A tweaked out Ellen Mae’s gonna do the deed, mark it down
Best part of last night’s episode was pissed off Art, that was good work…really hoping he doesn’t meet his end in a “two days before retirement” bit
March 6th, 2013 at 9:52 AM
he basically said the UVA brah killed the girl because all his brah’s would’ve made fun of him if he didnt wear socks halfway up his calves and used a warrior stick.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:53 AM
Bubba Watson is such an arrogant goddamn prick. This presser is fucking absurd. I used to like the guy.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:54 AM
jon bois comments here?
March 6th, 2013 at 9:54 AM
God help me but I liked that show, some interesting stuff about just the mechanisms that go into getting two teams together to play a football game…coulda done with less focus on the kicker though, but I suppose he’s the only player with a lot of free time during the week to talk
March 6th, 2013 at 9:54 AM
I’d prefer that over Church lady.
March 6th, 2013 at 9:54 AM
ive heard from numerous people he’s completely different in front of cameras than he is off it…he’s def not afraid of letting some anger out.

i like all this but will say that freewill can’t be fucked with. if someone thinks they will get noticed or get a foot in the door with an unpaid internship, good luck. it’s better than doing nothing

BRANDON: But I’ve never played quarterback before.
COSTNER: It’s not that hard, Brandon. Tell him, Wash.
RON WASHINGTON: It’s incredibly hard.

He’s always seemed pretty cool when he does events with UGA. Though he is a professional golfer, so 9/10 times they’ll be pricks who think they run the world. Such an insufferable lot.

I do lots of Justified speculating, but I don’t see Ava getting got.
Best part of last night’s episode was pissed off Art, that was good work…really hoping he doesn’t meet his end in a “two days before retirement” bit
This, however, I do see. How would he be involved in the show after he retires?
I’d prefer that over Church lady.
She’s back. There is something with her. They didn’t bring her back just so Colt could choke her.
March 6th, 2013 at 10:00 AM
That arctic giant camel piece is cool as hell.

Easy Sparty. No need to defend the heard. It was a joke.
March 6th, 2013 at 10:01 AM
well who gives a fuck about exposure if the motherfucking Atlantic and Huff Post don’t pay in the same field?
this is not a brag, but relevant. i grossed 50k+ each of the past two years freelancing, and that’s working half days because of kid-watching. no, it’s not GQ or SI, only trade pubs, but money’s money. there are paying writing jobs, so if a kid thinks that building a clip portfolio through unpaid internship will get him a paying job, i can’t argue with that. clips are the strongest evidence for being qualified for such jobs
March 6th, 2013 at 10:02 AM
No need to defend the heard.
ya herd?
March 6th, 2013 at 10:03 AM
For sure. But it seems to be worse ever since he won that green jacket.
March 6th, 2013 at 10:03 AM
‘Cause God-forbid (and no, I’m not starting a God argument with you, I’m just using a simple expression) Florida replace a little recruited and never played much guy like Gillislee with two of the nation’s most recruited and stud-worthy running backs. Or, you know, that we replace anyone on the defense with more awesome defensive players who rotated in and/or played for injured bodies last year.
Walking into 2012 99% of college football experts saw Florida as a 8 win team at best because the “talent sucked”. They not only won 11 games, but they beat 4 top 12 teams, spanking 2 of them. 2 of those on the road.
But yes, Florida sucks. Limp dick, “ain’t won a National Championship in my lifetime” Georgia is the titties because they beat Florida by 8 in a game where Florida turned the ball over 6 times.
Enjoy another 9-10 win campaign in Athens, maybe another trip to the Capital One Bowl (in beautiful Orlando, Florida). You can go on to talking about what it was like to “hang with” Alabama. Maybe you should go over some fundamentals or two.
Incomplete pass = Clock stops
Completed Pass in bounds = Clock runs.
Rings bitch. RINGS.

March 6th, 2013 at 10:06 AM
Speaking of Tim turning into Raylan, him not really caring about a crime happening right in front of him because it was unreleated to his cause was a pure Givens move…so pleased they’re giving him stuff to do this season

Did I say that? I said they had a great defense and a bad offense. You know…the truth. Simma down, little man. The Gators can prove me wrong and put up Tebow-esque offensive numbers this year and we can crown Muschamp in due time.
March 6th, 2013 at 10:07 AM

March 6th, 2013 at 10:14 AM
That was a hideous game. Mizzou threw a pick in the endzone (terrible, terrible throw) with 8 seconds or so remaining to close the deal. Mizzou was so bad last year, yet UGAs fraudy defense made them look somewhat competent at times.

JOE BANNER: LOmbardi you fucktard, I told you we are trying to buy “WINS” not buying castoffs from Belicheck. I cant believe you offered him 40 million over 4 years.
LOMBARDI: Well boss Bill called and said Deoin Branch had a lot left in the tank. I have nothing else to go by.

I love the hubris here. We “don’t fucking know what media is like”, but we’re only 5 minutes away from a fucking post about how stupid GM “X” is for his drafting of a player that you KNEW was a bum, or how player “X” should DEFINITELY be playing differently. See, what you do is so unknowable that you are beyond reproach, but you know fucking everything about everything else. Hubris. Idiocy.

Erotic Adventures Of Craig James or something.

Pay them. Period. Are they doing work for which there is a market value? Pay them. I always did. When i was at (large petro-chemical company) I had a ton of interns working for me. ALL of them were paid. And nearly always we hired for positions out of that pool. It was a job.
