1. Years ago $1 champagne flutes of beer, always ended up spiking mine.
2. Shitty Chinese restaurant presently has $1.76 pints 1/3 legal price.
3. Drank Max Ice 40′s and Sambuca as it was the cheapest hard liquor.
4. Was at one of last $2 Blue Jays baseball, brawls and crotch mickeys.
5. Late night chinese food restaurants will give you after hours beers in tea-pots.
6. Also recommend pouring whiskey into those late night chinese teas
7. Cheaper to buy a tallboy and get cash back than go to a rival atm machine

I’m wagering that is Fred’s.

Not Fred’s (although I enjoyed many a fresh squeezed juice drink on the deck on Thursdays), but across the street from Fred’s. Was a bunch of different names in my time, just like the “sports” bar next to Freds.

Don’t know the place next to the Chimes. In my day The Varsity was still operating next door.

Not next door to the Chimes (that was still the Varsity), but a little tiny place right behind the Chimes – same owners I think. They just carved out a tiny storage space and turned it into a professional drinker’s spot. Late 80s/early 90s era.

I can’t believe no one here has mentioned a bar serving up beat the clock. Cheap beer progressively more expensive as the night rolls on, starting at 0.25.

bar around here used to have ‘drink til you pee’ night where it was $1 drinks until the first person in the bar pissed. it was usually about an hour and a half shit show.

Best tasting high gravity beer there is in my opinion.

Most definitely in my top 5 now. My buddy was buying, so I didn’t mind the price at all. Would’ve had a few more if I wouldn’t have had a 30 mile drive ahead of me.
