Mike Rupp Landed a Brutal Right Cross to Paul Bissonnette’s Face [Video]
Mike Rupp was traded from the Rangers to the Wild about a month ago, so I suppose bloodying Paul Bissonnette’s left eye with a vicious right cross on Thursday night was his way of venting some boiled frustration. Minnesota in the winter is about as much fun as the Dallas/Forth Worth airport.

Sabres win 2 in a row!
/still no hope

Was thrilled to see the referees get between noted penisloafs Ryan Reaves and Brandon Bollig last night. Saved us 90 seconds of dumbassery and instead we got 5 minutes of hockey without those two slobbering morons.
Staged fighting needs to go the way of the dodo.

it’s amazing that no one can get to them in regulation

bissonette might as well have punched himself with that face first tactic. zeus, a breakdown, please?
March 1st, 2013 at 11:21 AM
It’s amazing that no one can get the media to talk about them.

Just taking it all in right now. Thought the Blues would end it last night. Instead, Hawks scored the GWG 12 seconds into the game. They’re on a roll. CBJ in the building tonight. Would be a shame to lose to the worst team in hockey. Wings could do it on Sunday at the Joe.
The Sabres should fire Regier. He’s the one who screwed up. Ruff was just a scapegoat.

You are a straight up loser for not wanting staged fighting.
Refs have stopped about 5 or so B-Hawks fights the last two weeks…and it’s pointless. They will eventually fight or play dirty if messages need to be sent, no matter what.

It ends Sunday. Have fun feasting on the Datsyuk line. It’s basically Datsyuk and two 4th line players. Cleary belongs in the AHL or the pressbox. What’s Crawford’s injury status?

Believe me, 90% of Sabres fans want this to happen

his upper body hurts
March 1st, 2013 at 11:24 AM
Would be kinda cool if they went without a defeat and then got swept in the finals.

Upper body injury.

Which commenter is most likely to be a proponent of this?

I could see them losing in the 1st round against the right opponent and hot goalie. Or just rolling through the West easily.
March 1st, 2013 at 11:26 AM
Can see Carolina doing it if Fatty Cam gets hot.
Penguins won’t make it out of the first round.

Bollig – Healthy Scratch (no discernible skill or purpose)
Seems like a solution to me.

East is up for grabs, man. I think the team with the best player in the world has a shot. Especially if Malkin’s pancake batter is fixed by then. I would, however, like to pitch a new slogan for rivalry night when they play the Flyers again.

Anyone else enjoy watching Ovechkin flounder?
March 1st, 2013 at 11:33 AM
So how stupid are the Avalanche? Should have taken those pics and rid themselves of that malcontent. Now their salary structure is gonna be fuuuuucked.

Nope. Wish he’d start playing up to his ability again. Special talent. Fun to watch when firing on all cylinders. Capitals are a mess. Especially defensively.

Could Semin have helped him more than we realized?
March 1st, 2013 at 11:36 AM
Nothing to do with Semin.
Just saw that the Habs are #1 in the East. Shocking. East is a mess.
March 1st, 2013 at 11:39 AM
Not on defense. Semin is a 2nd line scoring forward. Amazing shot, not much else there. Capitals need to commit to playing defense with their top 6, not just their defensive pairings. Seems like every time they give up a goal there’s a forward or two on the wrong side of the red line. They’re always looking to cherry pick.
Semin would have costed them too much money. They have some decisions to make money wise on the blue line. The deal they got on fine young American John Carlson was a steal. They’re paying Mike Green to much money.

ooops on carey price. goddam dubnyk lost a sho in garbage time
March 1st, 2013 at 11:41 AM
Myth. Semin’s a solid 2-way player when he wants to be. Still mad at Ken Holland for not signing Semin to play with Datsyuk. It’s like the Wings want Pavel to go back to Russia.

thanks for making carey price available in fantasy league. Been riding him and Ray Emery to victo

Hawks getting alot of great play from Saad and Shaw.
If the big three stay healthy they will sweep playoffs.

Alright Melrose.
I’m worried about Sunday, but then again I was worried last night unti 12 seconds in.
March 1st, 2013 at 11:51 AM
captain, worrying is for the postseason
March 1st, 2013 at 12:56 PM
The problem for the Hawks is that hawkey playoffs are such a crapshoot.
If the Hawks abstain from injuries, which they did not do the previous two seasons, only a hot goalie could beat them 4 times.
The speed on the Hawks roster is devastating to other squads. Add that to them finding a solid 2nd pair of blue-liners (Hjarmalsson and Oduya), along with some newly found tough play (Bickell, Bollig, Carcillo), and you have a dominating team.

Pens will win a round no more no less. Really wish fights still were toss gloves, stick, and then helmet. While they would beat my ass, be a man and take the helmet off.
