Ryan Callahan of the Rangers Lost His Stick, Decided to Sacrifice His Body on the Ice [Video]
During a shift early in the first period of Tuesday’s 4-3 loss to the Winnipeg Jets, Rangers captain Ryan Callahan lost his stick. With his team stuck in their own zone, Callahan did what any hockey player would do and gave up his body to try and clear the puck. He proceeded to block two slap shots with his body and hit two Jets before exiting the ice. And he even dove on the ice to try and clear the puck by slapping it. It was an inspiring shift by the Rangers captain a week after coach John Tortorella called out Callahan and Brad Richards. Callahan also scored a goal in the second period. He used his stick for that.

Is that Bill Clement with Sam Rosen? The Rangers so do not deserve such great announcers

The Rangers don’t deserve Ryan Callahan, either.

Love Callahan. Great captain. Trade deadlines coming up!

It’s Joe Micheletti with Sam Rosen – he replaced John Davidson when he left to take an executive job a few years back.

Letang for Corey Perry.

Personally would rather take Ryan over Perry. Younger player who has yet to peak.
