First thing I think of every time I see a Faried highlight….Nolan fucking Smith.

The Iggy cut looks like it caught them flat-footed too.

No way Darrell. Dwight’s doing a half assed backpedal to get back in position. Kobe was following Lawson to top of key.

He motioned to Kobe to pick up Faried going weakside while he backpedalled looking ball side. Kobe stayed glued to Lawson instead of picking up Faried, who was unabated to the basket. Give up the man further away from the basket, especially Lawson since he isn’t a great perimeter shooter anyway. In the end, because of how quickly it took place it was more about very good execution by Denver than someone on the Lakers not hustling.

Faried is like a young Barkly in that when he jumps up for a ball, his jump seems to be faster than everybody else.

His “round mound of rebound” nickname and post-career chubbiness got younger fans to not fully appreciate how athletic he was. The guy was a freak of nature.
