Nick Saban and Les Miles Are Battling Over Louisiana 8th Grader Dylan Moses
Dylan Moses of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is in 8th grade, and he now holds scholarship offers from both Alabama and LSU. Les Miles offered him a scholarship at a football camp last summer. Nick Saban just offered him at Alabama’s Junior Day. The kid already has a Rivals page. Let the stalking begin.
“When we got there, Coach (Burton) Burns took us around and introduced us to the entire coaching staff and they all seemed very interested in Dylan. They treated him like a five-star recruit.”
“We met with Coach Saban after lunch and he talked to Dylan about his future and what he needed to do to achieve his potential as a student and as a football player. When he said he was offering Dylan a scholarship, we asked a lot of questions just to make sure we knew exactly what he meant. Coach Saban said the Alabama staff believes Dylan has a chance to be the best player in the country in the Class of 2017 and they were ready to offer him a scholarship. That’s when the fireworks started going off in our heads.”
Moses is already 6-foot-1, 215 pounds before hitting even a high-school weight room and (allegedly) runs a 4.46 40-yard-dash. Judging from YouTube highlights, he currently plays on both sides of the ball as a “freakishly large and coordinated kid no middle schooler could reasonably handle.” Insert joke about him spending the next few years refining his ball skills here. Not sure whether he is on Facebook or Twitter yet, but expect the creeps to descend with SEC speed.

He should sit out until he is eligible to play in the NFL. What would it hurt?

Funny in how, about 3 years from now, he’ll grow 2-3 more inches and that will be it and everyone will catch up to him. LOL.

That kid can’t be 14. Gotta be a hoax, or his parents “redshirted” him in elementary school.

THAT BEHEMOTH IS IN 8TH GRADE!?!?!?!?!?!
February 26th, 2013 at 11:17 AM
Glad my 105 lb 7th grader didn’t have to play against him. My kid was probably 95 lbs in the Fall.
And BTW – no ball carrier limits in MS football.

Kid has talent, but he’s no Marcus Dupree.
February 26th, 2013 at 11:19 AM

My kid was the fastest white kid on the team.

My kids are 13 and 15. The older one went to school with the son of Orlando Brown. He was much bigger than this kid. My younger son has played against plenty of kids this size.
He’ll be a good, not great, college player.

if he doesn’t score every time he has the ball he sucks
