Manti Te’o Autograph Signing: Only $80 or $100 to Get His Signature
Manti Te’o will be signing autographs on March 24h in Chicago – about a month before he falls into the second round of the NFL draft – and if you’d like the former Notre Dame star’s signature, it’ll cost you $80 or $100. From the Tribune:
Fans can pay $80 and $100 to have items signed by Te’o a month before the NFL draft. Inscriptions are an additional $30 and fans can pay $80 to have a picture taken with Te’o. He will be appearing at the same time as Bears Hall of Fame linebackers Dick Butkus and Mike Singletary.
Cam Newton charged $125 for his autograph in Charlotte and was lambasted by a columnist for asking that much in a city where he lived (reminder: This was after Newton had one of the best rookie years in NFL history). Tim Tebow charged a whopping $225.
Te’o's price seems high, but that’s just me. I stood in line to get Patrick Ewing’s autograph once at Macy’s, and I believe it was free.

Do I just not understand Mormon math or does this pricing structure not make a lick of sense?

What does not make sense?

Looks like he needs to bulk up a bit to play safety.
What does not make sense?
Why would someone pay $100 when they could pay $80?

the price probably depends on what you want to get autographed.

Just send him a check for $1.00 and when he cashes it, bang zoom, you’ve got his autograph on the back of the check!

Meatball outrage that he’s appearing with bears legends who like women

This is just how these guys make money, before they’re drafted. They’ve got to pay the bills, and their agents are only willing to front them so much cash…so you do autograph signings, you do endorsements (of all sizes), you make appearances.
I mean, I get that paying for an autograph seems silly when he’s about to make hundreds of thousands (or millions). But still- he’s not making a dime right now.

I just want to toot my own horn for my FIRST editing job on a major website. Check out the LSU post from yesterday.
Did you see the corrections? With no lines drawn thru the fuck ups a three year old would have found? What is this a Clay Travis site?
PATHETIC, Jason.

Be careful. I’ve seen this get people into trouble, and before you know it, they are faking their own death to avoid the IRS.
