Good point Groin. I didn’t play baseball as a kid, but my son plays and I’m around guys who really know the game. I’ve come to appreciate the subtle things about the game.

That friend of mine who was from Rochester was a big Bills fan and we used to bet both games the Phins and bills played. Missed talking trash when those teams played.

caribou, i used to live near rochester and went to grad school there. Yes, it was William Rothwell. Brilliant guy who knows his stuff but I think he’s nuts.

AP , was it William Rothwell? I don’t who he is, but I had professors like that in class sometimes. You live in Rochester? I had a friend that used to work in our IT dept who was from Rochester and went to Clarkson. He moved from state college and nt to work at VaTech about 8 yrs ago.

caribou, a well-known professor (Rothwell) from the university where you work taught a grad school class of mine in Rochester, NY. Brilliant man, but would go off on boring tangents. One time I just got up and went home for the night because he was just rambling about crap that was irrelevant to the class.

That punch isn’t wise, but the shove was obnoxious and, more importantly, I think Ayers was gabbing at Young when he turned around. I think the talking got him hit. And that’ll happen sometimes when you mouth off—not that he cared, as Nittany pointed out. Nice tackle by Soto, and good call not ejecting him.
