always a favorite. she can still get it. enjoyed seeing her give a blow job and show her ass in the very first episode of the Americans.
February 22nd, 2013 at 8:40 AM
Well, I know what I’m watching after work today.
February 22nd, 2013 at 8:41 AM
again, if you had actually seen him play, youd know there was hope. i know that’s probably asking too much of you tho.
February 22nd, 2013 at 8:42 AM
The flip-half court shot was badass. That stuff is easy to do if you just want to throw the ball, but actually making the basket is abusrd.
February 22nd, 2013 at 8:43 AM
Geez spoiler alert! Just kidding. I see the Americans got renewed for another season.
February 22nd, 2013 at 8:44 AM
Why people keep giving this woman a platform is beyond me. She is basically a white, female version of Rob Parker. Only with less tact & intelligence.
Love the trick shot by the cheerleader. Very cool.

can someone please tell me why mike tanier’s considered a great football writer? i read almost all his stuff, and it’s all like 3,000 words of him smirking at you because you just read a fucking tome that had almost nothing worthwile in there.
February 22nd, 2013 at 8:46 AM
the cheerleader trick shot reminded me of the ol’ flip throw in for a goal
February 22nd, 2013 at 8:47 AM
For those of you getting excited in the Micheal Phelps post
February 22nd, 2013 at 8:47 AM
like, for real…this is every bit as bad as a typical MMQB just without the starbucks.

I see the Americans got renewed for another season.
they did? good. I’ve enjoyed it thus far. this week’s episode was nice how they brought in a major historical event.
February 22nd, 2013 at 8:49 AM
I don’t get it. I don’t know why anyone pays any attention to her. She’s the epitome of an attention whore.
February 22nd, 2013 at 8:51 AM
the Mazada lives!? I thought you Ol’ Miss’ed that car a few years ago, no?
February 22nd, 2013 at 8:52 AM
Megan Fox will play April O’Neil in TMNT remake.
With Michael Bay involved
No turtle suits?!? WTF is that??
February 22nd, 2013 at 8:52 AM
Watching that show I wonder how they are able to find all those early 80′s cars in pristine condition.
February 22nd, 2013 at 8:53 AM
They’re also going to be aliens, not turtles who were mutated. Michael Bay must get off on ruining my childhood toys. He did a bang up job of that with Transformers. Thank god Bryan Singer got ahold of X-Men before Bay could ruin that, too.
February 22nd, 2013 at 8:54 AM
again, if you had actually seen him play, youd know there was hope. i know that’s probably asking too much of you tho.
Addy rejected you, didn’t she? Don’t take it out on others, man.
February 22nd, 2013 at 8:55 AM
So far Megan Fox and Kerri Russell have been discussed, but you guys rather talk about a news chick with an Adam’s Apple. WTF?

Great way to start off a series, IMO. Great show.
Nice to see she’s not wearing her wedding ring. Perhaps she’ll be back on the market soon.
February 22nd, 2013 at 8:57 AM
My kneejerk reaction to this was “good,” people have more bathroom entertainment options than chip and dip recipes and fawning Reagan profiles.

February 22nd, 2013 at 8:58 AM
Watching that show I wonder how they are able to find all those early 80′s cars in pristine condition.
The Americans has become must viewing for me. I even let that Russell was wearing what looked like Guess Jeans in 1980 slide because the rest is so awesome.
February 22nd, 2013 at 8:59 AM
Megan Fox is hot, but she does little for me, and I haven’t seen a second of the Felicity show.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:00 AM
heard an interview with some guy who was a consultant for reader’s digest about 10-15 years ago and he said their data indicated back then that their average reader was 70 years old.
I don’t think they picked up a younger generation of customers since then and I’d expect they lost a lot of that base through, well, death.
don’t worry. I’m sure they’ll be fine.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:00 AM

hah…i never stood a chance.
but staying on topic, you can create all the algorithms you like but stats are useless in football without context. you act surprised when the numbers don’t add up to what you expected them to, which is no different than some retard sports radio caller being shocked when a stat guy is validated in real life.
not hating on you, but you’re bashing weeden without evaluating him using the most important criteria for a qb. youre better than that.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:04 AM
Who knows. At this point it’s a given Bay will fuck this movie up with terrible attempts at humor and a complete lack of any discernible plot. He should have stopped making movies after The Rock and called it a career.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:05 AM
Apparently I should be watching The Americans. I am the worlds worst at not watching great tv shows, then picking them up years later and wondering why in the hell I didn’t watch them to begin with.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:07 AM
see, i feel this way about michael bay too, but then i read something from a film student about how incredible his editing, shooting, sound and lighting work is and started watching his movies in a different light.
he’s still a fuckhead, but the dude’s got some skill with a camera. he’s like yngwie malmsteen of directing, he can shred, but is still a cocksucker.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:07 AM
1. How many miles on said Mazda?
2. What model Mazda?
3. What color?
4. What’s your number?
I must say you’re not trying very hard to sell this car.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:07 AM
But then you get to watch them back-to-back and it’s much better.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:08 AM
they are doing an Americans “marathon” or something coming up. they kept advertising during this week’s episode
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:09 AM
Michael Bay and Megan Fox working together is kind of surprising. The way they were talking about each other after the Transformer movies, you would think the wounds would take longer to heal.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:09 AM
Guilty as well. I didn’t start watching The Wire or Sopranos until they were both starting their last season (caught up before it started). The best I’ve ever done is starting Breaking Bad before their 3rd season.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:09 AM
i get depressed after i plow through an entire series.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:10 AM
This winter can die in a fucking fire. Someone in my house has been sick almost nonstop since November and my kid’s norovirus has lasted over a week now.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:10 AM
The problem with this is, for me anyway, that lighting, editing and all of that jazz is only good if the actual movie is good. Having no plot and zero character development ruins the best editing and lighting in the world.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:11 AM
Just watched the Sopranos pilot the other night. Looking forward to plowing through that series.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:11 AM

She probably let him taker her to pound town because she needs the work.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:12 AM
I prefer to binge watch a series myself, but I too get a little depressed when I finish it up.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:13 AM
Hope he gets his life squared away once and for all. GTG.
Watched the first 3 qtrs. Spurs looked so calm and focused. I think they are the best team in the league.
They don’t get nearly the attention they deserve. A Spurs-Heat final would be great basketball, “irregardless” of potential ratings.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:14 AM
That is such a different show if you compare it to the first and last seasons. I enjoyed the first half of the series because it really is more of a dark comedy than a serious drama. Season 6, which is actually two years of episodes, is nothing but depressing.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:15 AM
No “Go Ninja Go Ninja Go!”, no credibility.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:16 AM
Should be a season long Spencer emotional index of Weeden. This how the 2012 season panned out (far as I can remember).
Draft:
Talking himself into it, may even grew to like the pick
Early weeks:
Extremely defensive and hopeful, most rookies suck right?
Weeks 5 – 12
Utter despair, angrily staring into abyss calling it “browns”
13-16
Maybe this guy isn’t the worst creature on earth after all but he does suck
Week 17
He just might be the savoir.
Strange journey it has been.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:17 AM
Work filter’s blocked that site, they do any sabermetrics to determine who emerges on top in the heated Pitt the Elder/Lord Palmerston debate?
I would advise anyone going through the show to just stop watching any episode with the mention of “Kevin Finnerty” in it
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:17 AM
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a basketball series turn around as quickly as the Thunder-Spurs conference finals last year. Spurs looked like a juggernaut after first two games, and then all of a sudden Thunder took over. I can’t remember if it was game 4 or 5 of that series where Spurs shot like 60% from the field only to lose because Thunders shot 65%. Spurs would make bucket after bucket and Thunder just kept coming back and nailing shots on the other end.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:17 AM
Will be on the “internet” and scheduled for whenever the fuck you want.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:18 AM
Well, this is an unfortunate online product listing, Target
Hilarious.

February 22nd, 2013 at 9:23 AM
Kaiser, I was trying to forget that…hahahaha.
Yep, the Spurs are getting old. The Thunder, Clippers (except for last night) and the Heat are all more explosive/more dynamic. SA is a Tony Parker injury away from falling apart.
That said, I love the way the Spurs moved the ball last night. Guys were getting good shots all over the floor. I wish more teams executed in the half-court like the Spurs do.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:23 AM
You mean you dont like his patented slow-mo shot of someone looking off into the distance with the American flag waving behind them slightly out of focus in the background? See:Pearl Harbor.

Nah. Got my TV about about 5 years ago.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:28 AM
Hope they win the western conference final this year. I think they would give Miami a better fight than OKC or Clippers.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:28 AM
Example, I picked up The Sopranos one day when I was sick, was instantly hooked. Couldn’t get enough of it. Then last year on a whim I started watching Mad Men and was obsessed with that for quite some time. Anyway, all I get to watch now is Little Einsteins, Doc McStuffins, and Micky Mouse Clubhouse, so I’m fucked either way.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:28 AM
This is an interesting way to upgrade.

I had to shovel for the first time in 2 years yesterday and it was still too much. We are supposed to get more snow on Sunday night. Eat all the dicks winter.
On the bright side, the wife and I have both worked from home the last two days, so I don’t have to get out in it.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:32 AM
you can still connect it through HDMI can’t you? I wish I had a browser on mine, would have made the no cable transition a little easier, although it is pretty nice hardly ever watching TV.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:33 AM
I’m the same way. I hate investing time in a show until I know it’s sticking around. I blew through 24 episodes of Lost in 3 days. Best show ever.

Also good to see Michael Bay continues to destroy my childhood one movie at a time. Don’t you touch Masters of the Universe, you son of a bitch.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:35 AM
Agreed. LOST took over my life, and I can’t imagine watching that week to week.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:35 AM
Its that same reason I can’t get into Lost. thats only one season. I think binge watching on cable shows makes sense but a network show that made it 5+ years? Thats like a billion episodes.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:36 AM
I have a bad back as it is, so I take it easy when I’m doing it. It was one of those real powdery snows, so at least it wasn’t very heavy.

Wait a second, I just assumed it was a typo. Surely that title can’t be serious.

The first show I did marathon viewing of was Breaking Bad, I watched the first four seasons in about a week right before season 5 started.

The transition only sucks during football season for me. I watch all of 30 min of TV a day on average now. During the week I barely have any time anyway, even if I wanted to veg out and watch TV.

Lost would have been so much better on cable and 13 episode seasons, just too many episodes of them spinning their tires and then coming up with filler that led nowhere and was never touched on again
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:49 AM
Well said.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:50 AM
What the fuck? Should be Gemma Arterton. Obviously they are ignoring my letters.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:51 AM
agree. it was a great network drama, though.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:52 AM
Watching the flameouts by Tiger/Rory yesterday, and I can’t help but determine that match play would be the best format to determine the FEC champ at the end of the PGA schedule every year.
Top 128 players in a winner-takes-all, double-elimination bracket over two weekends. How awesome would that be.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:53 AM
This. I made it through half of season one and it took a whole weekend. Ridiculous. Move your stories along. Every network series should be on the brink of cancellation to force the writers to move shit along.
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:53 AM
I would love to cut cable out… but I’d miss the games. (Especially Tigers). You guys that don’t have cable what do you do if you want to watch a game?
February 22nd, 2013 at 9:54 AM
I’m also the worst for this. I rarely start watching new series. Then I hear about a good one and don’t get started on it because it’s already a few seasons in.

February 22nd, 2013 at 9:57 AM
It’s easy for me because I don’t watch sports all that much outside of football. But I love tennis majors and big time soccer, so I can get a good bit of that via an ESPN App where I use a buddy’s login info. Outside of golf majors (on broadcast TV) and tennis majors (ESPN App) I don’t watch sports other than football, and those are all over ESPN or broadcast channels.

I’m no baseball guy, but I’ve heard MLB.tv is pretty great, and you can stream it to your Apple TV / XBox.

April O’Neil should play April O’Neil in the TMNT remake.
February 22nd, 2013 at 10:00 AM
The only bad part is if you live in the blackout zone and can’t get your local games. This can easily fixed with a proxy though.
February 22nd, 2013 at 10:00 AM
That is the only thing holding me back is not being able to watch Red Sox games. Now if MLB.tv gets rid of their stupid blackout rules I will no longer have an excuse.
February 22nd, 2013 at 10:02 AM
I don’t want to jerk off on my childhood.
February 22nd, 2013 at 10:02 AM
Is it this year that MLB is finally getting wise about not doing the FOX blackouts or next? Can’t believe that lasted as long as it did

Or Roku. Or PS3. Or tablets & phones.

Great Roundup, Lisk.
Re: Lost
I loved it while it was on Network TV, but didn’t care for it as much on second viewing via Netflix. But, I did pick on more stuff the second time that was miss on the first. I think they could have cut out all of the Jack and Kate relationship stuff and we all would have been better off’d.
February 22nd, 2013 at 10:08 AM
I don’t have cable. Use Big Ten 2 Go app to watch Purdue games.
February 22nd, 2013 at 10:10 AM
yeah, I got it on my Roku. I’ve been watching some old games from last year, and I guess depending on your internet speeds you get some buffering (I get it occasionally). there are ways around the blackouts as well, just have to change that IP address, this year at least. MLB.tv is great.
February 22nd, 2013 at 10:10 AM
