I actually miss chemo. It wasn’t that bad. They chemo lounge was nice, loaded with fresh gourmet doughnuts and cupcakes. Now the the 2 months after chemo were horrible. Technically you are through with treatment, but you feel week and tired and you want to resume your life but you can’t. I finished in July, took me till December till I felt normal. I’m 38 and went in the healthiest I’d ever been in my life. I’m almost back to 100% and the only lingering side effects are some occasional tinnitus. But I was lucky. I started in peak physical shape. I met some people in the treatment that were in bad shape. They meds have improved so much that I never threw up during chemo, all though one weekend I wanted to.
The movie 50/50 captures the experience very accurately in my opinion.

Anybody been to Slaters 50/50? I guess their burgers are 50% bacon and 50% beef. Saw it on a Food Network show I believe. I would guess those would be some pretty tasty burgers.

Interesting. I would think the bacon would completely overpower the beef in this scenario.

Linebackers, to a degree, are just like RBs, in my opinion. There are great ones, but for the most part they’re interchangeable. Good defenses are built on the line..

I felt this way about London Fletcher in Buffalo. Good player, and it’s amazing he’s lasted in the league this long, but I never felt he was a game changer. And now people are talking about him as a dark-horse HOF candidate, which seems kind of absurd.

There’s a little greasy spoon diner in my old town which had the best burgers for cheap prices. Few things beat smalltown diners

I disagree. I like a well-cooked burger with summer tomatoes, red onion shavings and some pickle. Don’t get me wrong, I like the meat-fest burgers as well, but the classic cheeseburger cooked well is a thing of beauty.

I had one with oxtail that was braised in chocolate stout. That and goat cheese. It was phenomenal.

If you’re ever in Chicago, Bad Apple is worth visiting.

Richard Blais (Top Chef All-Stars winner) has Flip Burger Boutique in Atlanta. He's not an owner of it, but he was the menu creator. It's good. Not out of this world, but pretty good.
