Best Dunk In Maryland Terrapins’ History – Stevie Francis or Len Bias?
The ACC Digital Network is hosting Dunkuary, a month-long competition designed to get fans from all 12 ACC schools to vote for the best dunk in the ACC’s 60-year history.
The first dunk for Maryland features Steve Francis aka “The Franchise” against N.C. State in 1999. Francis goes around the back and soars in for a strong dunk after the Wolfpack turn it over.
The second slam stars Len Bias in 1986. Bias makes a jumper, then steals UNC’s inbound pass and throws down a two-handed dunk to help the Terps complete the four point swing.
Fans can vote for their favorite dunk in the following ways:
1. Tweet #dunkuary and #[player name]
2. Like your favorite dunk on www.youtube.com/accdn
3. Like your favorite dunk on www.facebook.com/theacc
Be sure to cast your vote and keep checking back here on Big Lead Sports to have your say in determining the ACC’s best dunk ever.

It’s Francis for me, but that’s because I actually remember attending games and some of his dunks as a kid going to games at Cole Field House.
Bias died about three weeks after I was born. My old man is still sad about it, couldn’t bring himself to watch ‘Without Bias.’

Bias. Always Bias.
Francis would tell you himself that his best dunk was against UNC.
