These Were the Only Good Dunks in the 2013 Slam Dunk Contest
The NBA dunk contest was still a pretty good show – despite far too many missed dunks – even though there were no real “stars” involved, and while we’d all like to see A-listers like LeBron and Blake Griffin participate, the young guys are still fun to watch.
Here’s some of the best dunks of the night:
Indiana’s Gerald Green catches a pass off the side of the backboard and does a reverse slam.
New York’s James White takes off just a step inside the free throw line and does a two-handed slam.
Denver’s Kenneth Faried off the backboard pass then between the legs.
Jeremy Evans jumps over former Jazz player Mark Eaton who was holding the ball.
Terrence Ross bounce pass 360 slam.

Jeremy Evans was last year’s winner. I still have no idea who the hell he is.
LeBron gets shit from assholes like Bayless for not participating, but if he did then he’d be accused by the same assholes of stealing thunder from the Gerald Greens and Nate Robinsons.

Gerald Greens and Nate Robinsons don’t deserve any thunder.

I thought Bledsoe’s second dunk deserved a mention if for no other reason than it was one of the few that was completed correctly the first time. That got a little bit monotonous last night.. Huge hops for a 6’1″ guard. Too bad his first one couldn’t help get him to the next round.

my impression of KY Sports Radio callers: “Who cares if we got beat by 30 yesterday? We have a ton of NBA players on the team!”
none of those guys are close to being NBA players.

The dunk contest wasn’t that bad. Too much star fucking by TNT and the rest of the media. Other than the lull in the middle with White (who got jerked on his first dunk) and Green it was entertaining.
