Banana & Gorilla Video Bomb Local News Following Duke Win Over North Carolina [Video]
College Basketball, Video February 15th. 2013, 10:05am
Following Duke’s 73-68 win over rival North Carolina Wednesday night, local CBS affiliate, WFMY was broadcasting live from Durham. To the surprise of no one, fans were running around behind the brave reporter, celebrating and doing college kid stuff. Obviously, that included a guy in a banana costume and a guy in a gorilla costume. No word on whether it was a couple’s costume.

Would have been better had this been after the Duke Team Managers beat UNC Team Managers.

WFMY is Greensboro’s CBS station. Raleigh/Durham have their own, WRAL. Would this make it semi-local? Or am I splitting hairs over a 30k a year non-national level job?

I was about to say the same thing. Semi-local, in state. WRAL is the Raleigh-Durham CBS affiliate, Stuart Scott used to work there.

Other than the ACC Tournament there is literally no reason for Greensboro to exist. All it does is fuck up traffic on 40. Fuck you Greensboro.

No. Just a pit stop on my way to the mountains from the triangle area.

Hatin’ on Greensboro is a thing? I had no idea.

Greensboro is bad, but its Nirvana compared to Winston-Salem! That place is straight depressing.

is that worse than sideways depressing?

The little bit of time I spent in Winston Salem wasn’t bad. Very slow vibe there. Slow as in pace – slow not like unintelligent retard slow.

Guy missed an easy lay up. “You could say the kids here are….Bananas.” It was right freaking there! But he goes for the Cameron Crazy pun.
Some reporters just don’t have the chops.
