I thought it was the opposite – Florida came out liek Mike Tyson thinking that just showing up and laying some wood would win the game. When Louisville took UF’s shots ala Buster Douglas and didn’t back down, Florida didn’t know what to do.

Meyer’s teams were always heavily penalized at UF. Not sure about the TOs, though. You can be heavily penalized when you have Tebow, Harvin and Spikes on your team I suppose.

He’ll always be good. Not sure he’ll ever have “great” teams, but he’s so good on defense and will have plenty of talent to not be successful. UFs D was insane last year in 12/13 games.

But holy fuck balls they can’t stop people from doing so. Those two teams alone prove that having a great defense is better than a great offense. NEB plays entertaining games whereas UF makes your eyes bleed, but at least UF waits until after winning 11 games to get blown out. NEB lost 4 games last year and gave up an average of like 50 points per loss. 50!!

Exactly. And being at NEB, you can’t have that mentality. You have to work your ass off to recruit because there just aren’t a ton of kids close to you. This year’s class was easily his best class per the rankings, but he still missed on some kids that he had no business losing. Like the safety who chose KENTUCKY!! over Nebraska.
