Warriors Introduce Jerseys With Sleeves, Regretful Pinstripe Shorts
Adidas has teamed up with the Golden State Warriors to unveil new, potentially “groundbreaking” uniforms that the team will debut on February 22 against San Antonio, a game that will of course air on ESPN.
The short-sleeve jerseys, aptly named “the adizero NBA short sleeve uniform system,” are said to be 26 percent lighter than traditional NBA jerseys and come equipped with a moisture-absorbing feature. They’re also made with 60 percent recycled material, a nugget that’s sure to resonate with a bevy of environmentally conscious NBA players.
While the shorts thankfully aren’t form-fitting, they do house pinstripes. Why? According to Adidas, inspiration from the Bay Bridge, obviously. But apparently the Bay Bridge wasn’t inspiring enough to apply said pinstripes to the jersey, making for quite the awkward uniform combo, though that appears to have been the goal.

When Adidas starts doctoring with uniforms the result is always cringeworthy.

Considering that they are probably going to be wearing ads on the uniforms next season, I don’t think the league office has a problem with this.

haha, these things are hilarious, no other team will pick this crap up, not even college or high school teams. Ok, maybe small high schools.

Excellent point. He’ll probably pay top dollar for a 5 year deal, and then scrap it after 16 months.
