kids had a stomach bug the past week. i never get sick, so…

after eating way too much pizza saturday night, i puked for the first time since a blackout drunk in 2002 at an STP show

earlier that night, i left the van running in the garage for two hours. was headed to the grocery store to get something for the wife, started the car, came back in to get some coupons, and she said, never mind. forgot all about the car and she discovered it running when she went to walk the dog

also, had a crazy sports related dream: was playing left field and had a liner go over my head, even tho i was playing pretty deep. the situation must have been crucial, because it had a must-catch feel to it. anyway, it screams over my head, bounces off the fence and into my glove

also, saw this awesome nature phenomenon walking the dog

Last night was a definite return to Season 2 levels, and that ain’t a good thing.

People who read the comic were super excited about both the farm and Michonne story lines. Turned out to be wrong about both of those things. Michonne is worse than Lori and that old guy that died last year. Remember him? Completely devoid of common sense. Turned every decision into a debate about morality.

Sure. But those also aren’t safety nets or ways out of a bad fiscal/social situation. The suburban kids with two working parents and a stable home probably doesn’t have to worry that he won’t go to college unless he gets up at 5 am everyday to lift.

Those are pretty broad generalizations, I admit. But pretending like kids today don’t face infinitely more distractions is a little naive, IMO.

This is a highly underrated fact.
