Mike Bibby in Retirement: He Got Thrown Out of the Gym During His Son’s High School Basketball Game [Video]
All, Former Athletes, Video February 11th. 2013, 4:52pm
Mike Bibby, one of the greatest guards in the history of the Arizona Wildcats, is spending a lot of time in Arizona this winter, watching his son play basketball. At a game over the weekend, Bibby got tossed from the gym for arguing with referees, and escorted out by police:
Mike Bibby got ejected and then escorted. Ejected from the game by the refs and escorted out of the gymnasium by Scottsdale police.
As you can see, Bibby took the ejection well. And his son’s team won, too. [via ABC15 via Cowbell Kingdom]

I can attest to the fact that hatred for referees and/or umpires carries over, no matter who the referee or umpire.

Still blows my mind how his Sophmore team, defending champs, were taken out by Majerus and the Utes in the Elite 8. Also blows my mind that a year earlier that Zona team beat Kansas when they were 35-1.

Maybe not 35-1, but their only loss at that point was in OT to Mizzou. One of the best college teams ever to not win a title IMO.

He used the same language Kevin Garnett did when addressing the refs.

Getting bounced early has been a ‘Zona staple for years. Not surprising at all.

Elite 8 isn’t early, and they had won the year before and were returning 4 starters and adding Jason Terry into the starting lineup. Mind-boggling FTR.
