Ben Brust Buzzer-Beater Sends Wisconsin – Michigan to Overtime After Tim Hardaway Jr. Hit His Own 3 [Video]
Ben Brust!
The final minute of regulation of Michigan – Wisconsin was insane. First Jared Berggren had a monster and-1 dunk on Michigan’s diminutive Trey Burke to tie the game at 57. Then Tim Hardaway Jr. hit a contested three-pointer with the shot clock winding down to give Michigan a 60-57 lead. With 2.7 seconds remaining and the Badgers inbounding from under their own hoop, Wisconsin’s Ben Brust somehow hit a 40-foot runner at the buzzer to send the game into overtime. This is what happens when neither team does the smart thing by fouling intentionally. Basketball happens and it is awesome.
Brust then hit another 3-pointer in overtime as Wisconsin won, 65-62.

Understandable to criticize Wisconsin for not fouling. I can’t knock Michigan though. The shot Wisconsin hit goes in maybe twice out of a hundred
