Duke Fans Allegedly Chanted ‘How’s Your Grandma’ at NC State’s Tyler Lewis, Whose Grandma Just Died. But This Sounds Like ‘Past Your Bedtime’ [UPDATE]

Tyler Lewis, an NC State freshman who is 5-foot-9 and 157-pounds, looks like he’s a sophomore in high school. His grandma recently passed away, and a newspaper wrote about it.

As Duke was hammering NC State Thursday night (final: 98-85, but it wasn’t even that close), Lewis toed the line and Cameron Crazies began to serenade him with a chant. It sounds like “past your bedtime,” which would be a reference to his young looks. But a bunch of folks on twitter thought they heard, “how’s your grandma,” and here we are.

You really can’t tell from this video, and I loathe Duke, but come on. Do you really think they were chanting “how’s your grandma?”

You really can’t tell from this video, and I loathe Duke, but come on. Do you really think they were chanting “how’s your grandma?”
sounds like past your bedtime. it wouldn’t shock me to hear the Izzone chant that, though. Very disappointed with what that has become in recent years.

Always can speculate on how much Verlander will get? It’s possible that he’ll get 30M a year. Lisk could always do some statistical breakdown of what pitcher is worth the most.

I was there…it was “Past Your Bed Time” because he looks like a nine-year-old boy. Having said that, the kid actually played a pretty good game considering it was his first start.

Pitchers and catchers report early next week for most teams and the rest of the players have to report by the end of next week for most teams.
Not totally unheard of to talk about baseball during spring training.

tough to evaluate these deals now with all of the TV money that is skewing things, but I still don’t think I would ever give a pitcher that type of contract

If ever there was a fanbase that should have been covered in bear mace during the game, it was them…can’t imagine how that would go over today with all the added exposure and flow of information

Tend to agree with you. But hands are pretty much tied. Things could switch quickly for that team with a few smart moves. And you’d hate to see him have success with a big-market team that did pay him

Never heard of this incident until this post…After reading about it, I’m not sure bear mace is strong enough. Mustard gas gets my vote.
