Chris Rix and Darnell Dockett spent several years together at Florida State in the early 00s, but whatever friendship they might have had is apparently gone because of some comments Rix made on the radio about Dockett’s dust-up with Alabama QB AJ McCarron and his girlfriend, Katherine Webb. I’m not sure what was said [UPDATE: On the Jay Mohr show this week, Rix called in and said, “jokes about Darnell and what his preference was … alright, Darnell going after the girls here …”), but it’s irrelevant because it pissed off Dockett, and now he’s out for blood.

And there’s the added component that many individuals have argued against equating the drive for equal rights for homosexuals with the Civil Rights Movement of the 1940s-1960s. They may not be exactly the same thing but I cannot help but think that many who make this assertion make it less for that reason and more because of their personal beliefs regarding homosexuality.
