It was all about fitteds for awhile and snapback hats just come into “fashion” within the last 2-3 years. It reached its peak last year since that was the time teenage rappers started dedicating WHOLE songs to and naming WHOLE songs after snapback hats.

And just for clarification- Colin is not a hipster. These are a hipsters.
