You are right about the red zone struggles being tied to finesse throws. However, Kaep waits for a wr to open up and guns it in. If nobody is clearly open, he tucks and runs. I’ve seen very few instances of throwing people open so far. Of course he has the ability to do it, but he’s still raw as a passer

These are just off the top of my head. I don’t think this is necessarily something he can’t do. If he chooses to run vs. throw I don’t think that means “he can’t throw people open” especially because he generally is running is highly effective passing situations with good (getting first downs) results.

This isn’t quite accurate. He can absolutely “throw people open.” He struggles mostly in the red zone which is a finesse thing that will likely improve over time. I don’t think it’s related to throwing people open, though.
