Scott Wood of North Carolina State Made an Crazy Off-the-Wall, Over-the-Backboard Trick Shot
Scott Wood is averaging 11 points in this his senior season at North Carolina State. He’s one of the best 3-point shooters in ACC history (and good at free throws, too). He might have an NBA future as a Steve Novak-type sharpshooter. Here he is throwing a basketball off the wall with enough spin that it lands in the paint and bounces into the basket. According to someone off camera, this was his third in a row. Pretty neat. Now if only his friend had turned his phone on its side this would be the perfect trick shot video. Dammit people.

That’s awesome. Not his intended shot I don’t think, but awesome nonetheless.

My initial reaction was “meh” because I’ve made the off the wall, over the backboard shot at least a couple dozen times. The ball bounce was definitely an added bonus. Well done.
