The Actual Kate Upton Super Bowl Commercial [Video]
Mercedes released their actual Kate Upton Super Bowl ad this week and I have to say, it’s not as good as the car wash ad. Sure, Willem Dafoe and Sympathy For the Devil are cool, but there is a surprising lack of Kate Upton in this spot. I can’t help but feel like they put real thought into the plot of this ad. Not original thought, but some thought. You don’t need to fill a whiteboard coming up with Usher spinning around twice on a dance floor.
What a convincing infomercial.

Kate’s approaching the “washed up, worn out” phase as fast as ___ (add your choice for most washed up, worn out porn star).

I presume this is part of the Play 60 anti-obesity campaign?

Willem Dafoe creeps me the fuck out.

Then whatever you do, don’t watch Auto Focus.

Shit like this is why the divisional playoff rounds are 100% superior to the Super Bowl.

Willen Dafoe is perfect as the devil, as well as most of his characters he does.
Lot of you guys talk about ESPN 30 for 30 videos, got an email from Groupon, offering ESPN 30 for 30 Collector’s Set on Blu-ray for $39. Free shipping and return. Pretty sweet deal.

Not really. Most of them are garbage. Keep your money.

This commercial is awesome and it proves that Sympathy for the Devil totally stands the test of time. And that baseline (played by Keith Richards, not Bill Wyman) is one of the best in the history of rock.

Although it does bug me that they show a F1 driver (Nico Rosberg) driving an F1 Mercedes on an oval track.

I was just about to post that. I haven’t seen any of them and can’t imagine why anyone would pay money to buy discs to play videos, but it does seem like a pretty good deal.

I thought every Kate Upton post demanded a link to the pool clip where she is getting hosed down?
February 1st, 2013 at 2:51 PM
Are we still looking for a link?

between upton and that polish round up girl, this day is set.

God dammit, I love her.
That was admittedly disappointing, she’s only in it for 5 seconds. What the fuck?!?
This got me, too.

Caribou is a hero.

Defoe has quite the range as an actor, playing both Jesus and the devil.

Bob Dylan in a Victoria’s Secret ad. Led Zeppelin selling Cadillacs. Now Sympathy for the Devil selling Mercedes Damn Benz. Shame on fucking all of you. The world is going to hell in a handbasket (probably sponsored by Iggy Pop). Dammit.
