UFC Veteran Assuerio Silva in Serious Condition After Being Shot Five Times Outside Gym in Brazil
Assuerio Silva, a Brazilian mixed martial artist who fought three times in the UFC, is in serious condition after being shot five times outside his gym in Curitiba, Brazil. From Sherdog:
Silva, 38, was allegedly shot five times by a former associate, whom Silva reportedly identified as Robson Freitas. The Brazilian was reportedly taken to a local hospital and remains in serious condition.
According to Cage Potato, Freitas had been threatening Silva for “sometime,” thought it has not been reported over what. Silva has not fought since 2009 and has a career record of 15-8 (1nc) with three losses in the UFC.

Pretty sure I saw him fight in person at an Affliction event, too lazy to look up the fight card though. I am, however, positive that Megadeth played a live set during an intermission.
