Deonte Burton of Nevada Threw Down a Ridiculous One-Handed Alley-Oop Off an Inbounds Pass

Deonte Burton is a 6-foot-1 guard for Nevada. Against UNLV, he did this Tuesday. It was a one-handed tomahawk dunk off an inbounds pass. It brought back memories of Quincy Acy in the 2012 NCAA tournament. Who could have seen that coming? An oop to a big man down the middle maybe, but when a 6-1 guard goes down the middle, you don’t expect him to go up for an alley-oop. This young man can jump really freaking high.
Back in November, Burton hit this loooong 3 to beat Wisconsin-Green Bay. Nice player.

My son’s hoops league is on eight foot goals (he is six.) Eight feet is a long way for me nowadays. I can do it, but it isn’t worth it anymore.

This is kind of how I feel about it. Dunking on an 8 ft. basket was cool when I was 11 or 12. Now it’s just a sign of how old and, spoiler alert, white I am.
