17-Year Old Indonesian Boxer Tries to Quit in the 8th Round by Putting His Hands Up; Later Dies in the Hospital From Brain Hemorrhage [Video]
Tubagus Sakti, a 17-year old Indonesian boxer, died over the weekend after suffering a knockout loss to countryman Ichal Tobida. The referee stopped the fight in the 8th round when Sakti put his hands in the air as if to give up. Tobida threw a few more uncontested shots while the referee tried to stop the action. When the fight ended, Sakti walked around for a couple seconds before going into convulsions. According to the Bangkok Post, Sakti was then rushed to the hospital where he died of a brain hemorrhage.
Sakti had apparently been fighting professionally since he was 15-years old. You can see Sakti putting his hands up in the video at the 3:30 mark. It is disturbing. [via @Cartmaniak]

We need more fodder for hand wringing, hence our penchant for blood-lust. Or is it the other way around?
