Tiger will never be back. Back is finishing top 5 every event, winning 10x a year including 2 majors and being a threat to win the other two. Someday he may find his way back to #1 in the rankings but nothing more than that. The talent is far too deep.

when he’s playing like that for an entire tournament, there’s rory and on-fire-phil. that’s it. IF he can bring that game for an entire season, he’s not far off.

considering he wasn’t “back” last year, he still won 3x, finished in the top 10 a bunch and was statistically very strong. that all portends well to this year.

there’s an outrageous amount of talent on the PGA tour right now…too bad only like 1/3 of them are consistent winners. they gotta prove it first…tiger’s already proved it many, many times over.

Snead v. Woods is apples to oranges. Their were like 10 events when Snead played. Now there’s 30. It’d be interesting to see winning percentage between the two.

I never said Tiger couldn’t be great again but saying he’s back discredits how unbelievable he was.

Depends what your definition of being “back” is. ’00-’06 Tiger will never come back. A guy that can compete at every majors and win one a year along with another 3-4 tour stops, absolutely.

It’d be an interesting bet if we didn’t have to wait ten years. Oddsmakers would probably favor Tiger because he’s such a public darling, but I think 40% chance he passes Jack
