Holy shit. Just clicked on an ad for another blog and was surprised by 2 things. The site actually wasn’t blocked, and the last post the author of the site posted was from October of 2011. The most recent comment was from 37 weeks ago and was exactly this. “Is this site closed?”

I always thought every European country was part of the Union. Didn’t know some could opt out if they wanted.

The UK is a EU member. They just opted out of the currency part. They still share in most other EU shit like being able to take a car thru the Chunnel and driving to France, Spain, and Portugal like I’d drive from Michigan to Tennessee via Ohio and Kentucky and having the same international laws and treaties.

The UK still uses Pound Sterling. Doubt they’ll ever switch to Euro due to sovereignty reasons.

I just always assumed the whole European Union switched. Are they not part of the EU? The reason I brought that up is I was going back and forth with a customer that turned out to be from England. Kept telling him he needed to call the phone number listed in the email to set up a replacement. He told me it wasn’t a real phone number and that I was “a fucking wanker” for telling him it was and that he shouldn’t have to go through such a hassle to get his 200 pounds refunded. Him telling me I was a wanker was reason enough to believe he was from England because they love calling people wankers, but the pounds was a dead giveaway.
