Until you’ve given up a child, or been a child adopted, you really have no idea Groin what their motivations are. My two cousins are adopted, and the boy was eager to meet his biological parents when the opportunity arose, and they him also. He was a teacher, nobody famous, and it happened soon after my aunt and uncle had died, so it gave him a sense of family again.

His sister had the chance and wanted absolutely nothing to do with meeting her biological parents (different set of folks, obviously) thinking that it would betray the memory of her adoptive parents, my aunt and uncle. It is an extremely personal choice.

Lots of respect for people who do adoption. Lots of families out there looking for kids. Lots of respect to people who adopt babies too.

Why are you sure she doesn’t want $$$? I’m not. She Obviously wants a piece of the pie, whether for attention or not, and that usually involves dollars.

This feels like a public manipulation (if ‘extortion’ is too harsh). If she was sincere, this would have been handled privately, as others have said.
