Frantz Massenat Hit a Half Court Buzzer Beater as Drexel Beat Hofstra [Video]
All, College Basketball, Video January 24th. 2013, 10:05am
Frantz Massenat had one of the craziest game-ending shots in a long time last night as Drexel beat Hofstra, 55-52. Hofstra had just tied the game with a three-pointer, and the game appeared headed for overtime.
Hofstra played the in-bounds pass perfectly. When you trap the guard, force him to bobble the ball, never get past half court, and then (probably) travel with it before launching a shot – well, you don’t deserve this fate.

Not a travel. When he picks up the loose ball the right foot becomes the pivot. He steps with left, and the pivot foot is allowed to leave to floor to shoot or pass (but not dribble). Had the right foot hit the floor you would have had traveling.

When you have 5.9 seconds left and settle for a frantic/guarded halfcourt shot, you don’t deserve to win.
