Saw a Facebook post yesterday from my sister in law talking about planning her daughter’s FIRST birthday party and how it’s like a mini wedding reception. WHAT the fuck. Get a cake or whatever and take pictures of them making a mess of it but what the fuck are you spending money on a party for?

Agreed that sounds extreme. I think the mustache theme can be pulled off rather cheaply. You spend the money because it’s fun to have a party. Now I wouldn’t go out and spend thousands or even hundreds, but a small party with friends and close family is fun and worth spending a little money on.
