He had injuries in Philly and frankly, if the Kane (the guy drafted ahead of him) and the Hawks didn’t win the Cup in 2010, expectations here might have been a bit different for JVR.

Rangers top line came together nicely last night. Gaborik having a hat trick wasn’t impressive. The fact that two of them came from batting the puck in mid air sure was though.

That news was seen as just piling on to a Flyers fan with the Hartnell injury/Schenn suspension.

Didn’t Orr just take out John Scott in Buffalo a couple days ago? He is doing work.

When Orr was on the Rangers, he knocked out Todd Fedoruk in frightening fashion. And Fedoruk was a guy, I'm pretty sure, already had a plate in his head at the time he fought Orr.

Is that a season ending injury for Lupul? He should be back by March, right? Huge loss in a shortened season but I hope the Leafs will still be in the playoff picture by the time he gets back.

Leafs waxing the Penguins is the upset here. Sucks for Toronto that Lupul broke his forearm. That top line for the Leafs was humming along pretty nicely. JVR had himself a game and I’m sure Brian Burke was smirking somewhere while watching.

Staged fights like this one need to go away.
