Nance is not liked by many people. Heck on TV he called the wrong team wiining a football game. Nance was not in Cleveland when Lombardi was here. Lombardi would stab anyone he could in the back. His drafts were bad, Mike Junkin, Cliffort Charlton. More recent, Robert Gallery. Bottom line is this, would you give Benedict Arnold a second chance?

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times; Jim Nantz is utterly useless away from a golf course. The man has the cushiest gig in announcing, only because he does a good job with the Masters.

Well, he’s also fun to listen to when he’s getting unbearably blowhardy about wine.

The interviewer didn’t ask nantz about Lombardi’s past gm efforts?

Nantz said that he doesn’t understand why people are saying he deserves a second chance, when he didn’t fail with his first one, and then blamed every bad thing on other people and attributed all good things to Lombardi.

His friend got the job. Lombardi gets the chance to prove his capability. What is Nantz trying to rationalize, actually?

Lombardi would do a call in to a morning radio show here. So, yes, he talked football. I don’t know if he was good or bad. Just another yammering guy on the radio. I do remember he did his best not to offend anyone.

You know who is surprisingly good on the radio? Sean Salisbury. Now that he isn’t forced to pick a side and have inane arguments on ESPN, he is very good.
