Manti Te’o Reportedly Moved on From Fake Dead Girlfriend With Real Live Girlfriend Named Alexandra del Pilar

TMZ is reporting that Manti Te’o dated a real live girl following the death of his fake girlfriend. Her name is Alexandra del Pilar and she attended the BCS Championship game earlier this month. Busted Coverage did their Busted Coverage thing and tracked down some pictures of Alexandra del Pilar, a student at St. Mary’s College. No word on whether or not they are still dating, but at least she’s real. Unless we’re being Catfished again.

Dammit, this story is going to run for months isn’t it? I’m starting to doubt whether even the Super Bowl will shut it down.
If he comes out and tells the truth that meshes with all the reports that are out there, it’ll go away just like that. Even if he says that he embellished the relationship for PR purpose, people will just shake their head, make a few jokes, and then move on. If he continues to dodge questions or give out vague, bullshit answers, this’ll not go away.

As far as I can see it.. As more and more information comes out… Deadspin now looks like ass… And at the very worst teo lied… In a self serving manner. The real story here is the exposing of just how little due diligence reporters/blogs perform and the decay of journalism and journalists. Fried egg and rendered salami on their faces if you will… But the maxim still holds as deadspin vomits up their backpedal at a furious pace… Never argue with a man who buys their ink by the barrel.

Exactly. deadspin did their work and covered their basis. The only thing I question is if Te’o knew. They never said he did in fact organize it, just that someone said he knew.
