He’s not a jerk for taking performance enhancing drugs (everyone else was/is) or even for not being forthright about it (understandable). My point is this: I’d actually think more of him if he took the PEDs and then never caved….if he felt like it was the right thing to do in competition, well, as you said, that’s a difficult point to disagree with. I’d probably do the same thing in his position. But using PEDs was the start of him becoming the massive dickbag that he is today. I think the stupidest thing he could possibly do is exactly what he’s doing now: own up to it as a means to get some form of forgiveness after he ruined so many people for so long.
