Knicks’ Employing Hypnotized Metal Band Roadie to Record Carmelo Anthony’s On-Court Conversations
Would it freak you out to learn that this man is intensely listening to your every word? Well that’s what Carmelo Anthony is going through these days. Following Carmelo’s dust-up with Kevin Garnett over some trash talk, the Knicks have decided to place a guy with a “high-tech sensitive microphone” at each end of the court to record everything that is said during games. From the New York Post:
According to a league source, the decision to employ the microphones was made to protect the combustible Anthony from another “he said-he said’’ dispute by having an audio record of what’s said on the court. The carefully calibrated mics transmit audio feeds into recorders in trucks on the Garden loading docks.
Talk about paranoid. This is already better (and more realistic) than Season 2 of Homeland. The Post deserves a standing ovation for capturing this picture of the sound tech. He looks like a hypnotized Black Sabbath roadie. The good news is that from now on, whenever someone accuses Carmelo’s wife of tasting like Honey Nut Cheerios, there will be audio.

Collection tech has advanced to the point where ya don’t need an antenna dish that big. Looks like some attempt at visual intimidation as well.
Al Davis woulda done better.
