Denver Mayor Michael Hancock did one of those dumb mayoral bets that always happens with these sporting contests. He was going to have to do the Ray Lewis dance; his counterpart Stephanie Rawlings-Blake was going to light up the Baltimore’s Washington Monument in blue and orange if the Ravens lost to the Broncos.

Denver was a 9.5 point favorite and had won eleven in a row, so Hancock probably laughed about the possibility of gyrating like a fool. Not anymore. Now that it is time to pay up, the mayor has come down with an injury at a Stock Show (of course, because, Denver). He has a strained quad. If you suffer and injury and can’t do a dance, you are officially old. Pretty sure I just strained my quad writing this.
