Zach Miller Almost Set the Seattle Postseason Receiving Record Playing With Torn Plantar Fascia in His Foot
Zach Miller tore the plantar fascia in his foot on the third play of the game. He went off to the locker room, got a painkilling shot deep in the chasm of the stadium, and returned to the game. If that doesn’t sound like that big of a deal, take a look at Jason Taylor’s description of getting pain killers in his feet if you really want to cringe. Yeah, so Zach Miller went and got a shot, and played on a foot with torn tissue. Hopped up on the pain killers and not feeling the searing pain temporarily, he then went out and had his career game in Seattle. He hadn’t had more than 59 yards receiving in any one game since signing with Seattle, but repeatedly got open for Russell Wilson, finishing with 8 catches and 142 yards.

What was the deal with Atlanta leaving him open the entire game? He was having a field day.

Got a letter for jury duty today. So if they end up actually using me it means I have to sit in court from 8 AM to 5 PM and then go straight to work till 1130 for at least 2 weeks. If I have to suffer so does every single defendent.
What’s thats, granny? You got arrested for jaywalking since you didn’t walk all the way down to the crosswalk because your legs hurt? Well now your back is gonna hurt. ‘Cause you just got 20 lashings.

Russ Smith is a national POY candidate, but Napier didn’t make the Cousy watch list. College hoops confuse me.

As much as I enjoy his podcast, Bill Simmons is seriously losing his mind. “If the Niners and Packers play 10 times, the Niners win 9 of them.” WHAT??
January 14th, 2013 at 7:29 PM
I dunno, how many do you think he’s off by? I’d say the Niners win 7 or 8. That Green Bay defense is atrocious.

Well that’s kind of a 2nd-rate way to describe the game, but SF outplayed them in likely every single phase of the game. That GB defense is suspect.
A definitive play was before halftime. Matthews Jr. decides a speed rush to the outside. Kaepernick abbreviates his drop and sprints through the hole, up the the side for a gain of 15 or so. Your pass rush threat that is holding up your limp defense? Completely neutralized.
That could just be a terrible matchup for GB. I think they had a 50/50 shot vs. ATL, but they were outclassed in every way by SF.

Meth here’s something in the Law & Order world. 81-year old woman hit some 13-year old kid. Hit and skip. Kid dies. Old Murda Woman gets 5 years house arrest. And restitution.

Napier has been great this year, was expecting a down year with a lot of bad shots since he’s now “the man” for this team.
SC- Think they hold on? Not sure they will since L’Ville will tire them out and Siva has only played all of 3 minutes.

I like their chances. Olander needs to step up his aggression on the defensive boards and Uconn needs to limit Boatright’s ball handling v pressure. Louisville hasn’t shown me much offensive firepower in the half court, granted that’ll by changed by Siva’s dribble.
January 14th, 2013 at 7:58 PM
be changed by***
January 14th, 2013 at 8:06 PM
Yea not sure if Olander can do that. Hasn’t shown it in 3 years. Seems like Giffey is the better fit there even though that means they go real small.
January 14th, 2013 at 8:09 PM
They are terribly small. I like Giffey and think they play best with him in the game, but at 3 or 4. Oriakhi’s punkish transfer left them barren inside. Wolf and Olander are really their only options in the paint. Nolan has ability, but is so raw.
January 14th, 2013 at 8:13 PM
Uconn approaching both Louisville’s pressure and zone too passively. Need to attack
January 14th, 2013 at 8:16 PM
Obvious Daniels can’t be used in a ball-handling capacity v press. Too slow to adjust
January 14th, 2013 at 8:24 PM
Bad News: The Kaepernick – Davis combo is better than the Wilson – Miller combo.
Good News: Atlanta won and already the weakness exposed.
/my glass is always half full

Need to stop drinking vodka
Atlanta won and already had the weakness exposed.
January 14th, 2013 at 8:27 PM
Oriahki’s transfer really is showing against Dieng. Louisville only has 1 big guy and he’s killin them on the boards. Oriakhi would cancel that out. Would also help move olander over again give them depth against this kind of tiring pressure.
January 14th, 2013 at 8:34 PM
This is ugly. Totally stagnant v zone, horrendous floor balance allowing transition, no attack v pressure. Ollie’s inexperience is showing. This is the first time I can remember him getting embarrassed.
/watch Ollie make all these adjustments now
//not going to happen

I turned from the game at halftime. I cant believe what im seeing now. Ridiculous!

Sad note: girl who was valedictorian of my High school class died today from ovarian cancer. Only 30 years old. Ugh
January 14th, 2013 at 8:38 PM
Depressing to know Calhoun would have three better bigs than Uconn has and this game would be a dunk contest after slicing through the press
January 14th, 2013 at 8:53 PM
That’s a shame, A.P. Hate to bring this up after you reveal that news but did you ever get those questions I asked you about NY taxes the other night?
January 14th, 2013 at 8:59 PM
In case you didn’t, I have been contemplating moving back up. Wanted to know what the income/property taxes were like. I don’t imagine they’d be even a fraction of what NYC would be considering the part I’d be living in but still wanted to know. Left when I was 6 so needless to say tax levels were of no concern then.
January 14th, 2013 at 9:20 PM
I think in upstate, income tax is anywhere between 5 and 8. Im not really sure at all.
January 14th, 2013 at 9:20 PM
Im doing a google search but not sure how to read these documents
January 14th, 2013 at 10:23 PM
I figured you might have an idea based on what you make vs. what you actually bring home. I know land and homes are cheap as fuck around where I was looking into. But either:
1. It’s cheaper because nobody wants to live there or
2. You don’t bring home as much
Similar type jobs in that area seem to have almost exact rates of pay as down here. Made me wonder about the cost of living discrepancy.
